SECTION 09 91 00 – PAINTING
PART 1 - GENERAL
1.1 SUMMARY
A. Provide painting and surface preparation for interior and exterior
unfinished surfaces as scheduled.
B. Provide painting of entire surface where patch painting is required.
PART 2 – PRODUCTS
2.1 Products: As selected by Architect complying with the following:
A. Regulations: Compliance with VOC and environmental regulations.
B. First line commercial quality products for all coating systems.
PART 3 – INSTALLATION
3.1 Comply with requirements of Section 01000 - Project Requirements.
3.2 Provide field applied mockups of each color and finish selected on actual surfaces
to be painted.
3.3 Test sample area for adhesion for each type of paint.
3.4 Remove cover plates and protect hardware and adjacent surfaces.
3.5 Sand before painting until smooth and flat and sand between coats.
3.6 Apply paint to achieve manufacturer's recommended dry film thicknesses.
3.7 Paint entire surface where patch painting is required.
3.8 Recoat areas which show bleed through or defects.
3.9 Clean paint spatter from adjacent surfaces and glass.
3.10 Touch-up damaged surfaces at completion of construction.
PART 4 - SCHEDULE
4.1 Provide paint systems for interiors surfaces as specified on A451 of the
drawings.

1) Loxon Concrete Primer Sealer A24W8300
a. 1st Coat - A-100 Exterior Latex Satin, A82 Series
b. 2nd coat-A-100 Exterior Latex Satin, A82 Series
B. Ferrous Metals - Railings:
1) Primer – Pro Industrial Pro-Cryl Universal Primer B66-310 Series
a) 1st coat – Pro Industrial Acrylic Semi-Gloss B66-650 Series
b) 2nd coat – Pro Industrial Acrylic Semi-Gloss B66-650 Series
