MATERIALS OR EQUIPMENT, WHICH DO NOT REPRESENT A REASONABLY NEAT OR WORKMANLIKE APPEARANCE, MAY BE REQUIRED BY THE ARCHITECT TO BE REMOVED AND REPLACED AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER, 17. ALL MATERIAL SHALL BE NEW, COMMERCIAL GRADE AND BE U.L. LABELED AND CONFORMED TO ALL APPLICABLE CODES. 18. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL LIGHT FIXTURES AND LAMPS AND DELIVER THEM TO THE PROJECT SITE, UNLESS WHERE NOTED. THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY THAT THE ITEMS FURNISHED MATCHES THAT QUANTITY AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE ITEMS REQUIRED. THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL REPORT ANY DISCREPANCIES OR DAMAGED ITEMS TO THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR AND INSTALL ONLY THE APPROVED ITEMS IN THE LOCATIONS SHOWN. 19. FURNISH ALL MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT SPECIFIED, EXCEPT WHERE SPECIFIC APPROVAL FOR SUBSTITUTION HAS BEEN GIVEN BY THE ARCHITECT. 20. PROPOSAL SHALL BE BASED UPON SPECIFIED MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT. IN ORDER TO PROMOTE COMPETITION, BIDDERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO SUBMIT ALTERNATE PROPOSALS ON ANY ALTERNATE MATERIALS AND/OR EQUIPMENT THEY WISH TO PROPOSE, INCLUDING ANY PRICE CHANGES AFFECTED BY ACCEPTANCE OF THE ALTERNATES.
