ALL EXPOSED ARCHITECTURAL STONE, STRUCTURAL MASONRY VENEER AND CMU SHALL RECEIVE SPRAY-APPLIED WATER REPELLENT, REFER TO PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. 5. ALL THRU WALL UTILITY PENETRATIONS (PIPE, CONDUIT, ETC) AT CMU WALL CONSTRUCTION ARE TO BE SEAL FULL PERIMETER (BOTH INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR SIDE) WITH SEALANT OVER BACKER MATERIAL. 6. LAP ALL THRU-WALL FLASHINGS IN A WATER SHEDDING FASHION. TAPE ALL EXPOSED EDGES. 7. ALL MISCELLANEOUS PREFFINISHED METAL COPINGS AND FLASHING SHALL BE 24 GAUGE, MINIMUM. HAVE HEMMED EDGES, AND HAVE CONTINUOUS SEALANT BENEATH EDGES AND SEAMS. 8. PROVIDE CONTINUOUS ANCHORAGE FOR ALL THRU-WALL FLASHING. 9. REFER TO MANUFACTURER'S SPECIFICATIONS FOR SPECIFIC MASONRY, MOISTURE BARRIER, AND INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS. ALL REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET. FAILURE TO FOLLOW SPECIFIC CRITERIA WILL RESULT IN REMOVAL OF ALL UNACCEPTABLE CONSTRUCTION. 10. EPDM SINGLE-PLY MEMBRANE ROOFING SHALL BE MECHANICALLY FASTENED ON ALL HORIZONTAL SURFACES AND FULLY ADHERED ON ALL VERTICAL SURFACES WITHIN MECHNICAL WELL. 11. ALL SHEATHING THAT IS TO RECEIVE ROOF MEMBRANE IS TO BE ATTACHED TO FRAMING BY THE USE OF NON-REVERSING SCREWS. NO NAIL FASTENERS ARE PERMITTED. GENERAL NOTES - EXTERIOR ELEVATIONS 12. PROVIDE 1/2" BACKER ROD AND SEALANT AT ALL DISSIMILAR MATERIALS. 13. ALL THERMAL BATT INSULATIONTO BE FOIL-FAC (FSK-25) TYPE AS SCHEDULED. ALL EXTERIOR DOOR AND WINDOW JAMBS TO BE INFILLED WITH FOAM AND SEALANT FULL PERIMETER. 16. WRAP WEATHER RESISTANT BARRIER FULL DEPTH OF ALL WINDOW AND DOOR ROUGH OPENINGS PER MANUFACTURERS SPECIFICATIONS. 17. PER NFPA (2010 EDITION) SECTION 8.15.1.2 CONCEALED SPACES NOT REQUIRING SPRINKLER PROTECTION. a. SECTION 8.15.1.2.1, CONCEALED SPACES OF NONCOMBUSTIBLE AND LIMITED-COMBUSTIBLE CONSTRUCTION WITH MINIMAL CONBUSTIBLE LOADING HAVING NO ACCESS SHALL NOT REQUIRE SPRINKLER PROTECTION. THE SPACES SHALL BE CONSIDERED A CONCEALED SPACES EVEN WITH SMALL OPENINGS SUCH AS THOSE USED AS RETURN AIR FOR PLENUM. b. SECTION 8.15.1.2.2, CONCEALED SPACES OF NONCOMBUSTIBLE AND LIMITED COMBUSTIBLE CONSTRUCTION WITH LIMITED ACCESS AND NOT PERMITTING OCCUPANCY OR STORAGE OF COMBUSTIBLES SHALL NOT REQUIRE SPRINKLER PROTECTION. SECTION 8.15.1.2.11, CONCEALED SPACES IN WHICH THE EXPOSED MATERIALS ARE CONSTRUCTIONED ENTIRELY OF FIRE-RETARDANT TREATED WOOD AS DEFINED BY NFPA703, STANDARD FOR FIRE-RETARDANT TREATED WOOD AND FIRE-RETARDANT COATINGS FOR BUILDING MATERIALS, SHALL NOT REQUIRE SPRINKLER PROTECTION.
