SCOPE
THESE DRAWINGS INDICATE THE GENERAL SCOPE OF THE PROJECT IN
TERMS OF THE ARCPITECTURALANTERIOiR DESIGN CONCEPT, THE
DIMENSIONS OF THE DESIGNATED SPACE, THE MAJOR ARCHITECTURAL
ELEMENTS AND FINISHES. BEING SCOPE DOCUMENTS, THE DRAWINGS
HEREIN DO NOT NECESSARILY INDICATE OR DESCRIBE ALL WORK
REQUIRED FOR THE TOTAL COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT. ON THE BASIS
OF THE GENERAL SCOPE INDICATED OR DESCRIBED IN THE DRAWINGS,
THE CONTRACTOR (5) SHALL PROVIDE ALL WORK. DECISIONS ON WORK
DESCRIBED WITHIN THE GENERAL 50OPE OF THIS DOCUMENT SHALL BE
FINAL AND BINDING ON THE CONTRACTOR (S) AND TENANT,
ALL WORK CONTRACTED OR SUBCONTRACTED FOR THE COMPLETION OF
THIS PROJECT IS SUBJECT TO REVIEW AND FINAL APPROVAL BY THE
ARCHITECT.
EACH SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY EXISTING CONDITIONS AND
DIMENSIONS AS INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS AND SHALL REPORT ANY
DISCREPANCIES THAT MAY OCCUR TO T14E GENERAL CONTRACTOR. ANY
IRREGULARITIES SHALL BE REPORTED TO THE ARCHITECT BY THE
GENERAL CONTRACTOR AND ARE TO BE CORRECTED BEFORE THE
WORK BEGINS.
THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL EXPEDITE THE PREPARATION AND
SUBMITTAL OF SHOP DRAWINGS TO THE ARCHITECT, AND SHALL ALLOW
SUFFICIENT TIME FOR REVIEW, FABRICATION AND/OR ORDERING AND
DELIVERY OF MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT.
ALL WORK SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH, THE BEST QUALITY
STANDARDS OF THE TRADE, AND SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
LATEST EDITION OF THE IBC, THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODES AND
STANDARD FOR ALL GENERAL CONSTRUCTION, MECHANICAL, AND
ELECTRICAL WORK, AND ALL LOCAL AND FEDERAL CODES AND
STANDARDS.
FACILITY DESIGN PAS BEEN GENERATED BASED UPON OUR TRAINING
AND UNDERSTANDING OF REGULATIONS AND GUIDELINES ISSUED AS
COMPONENT PARTS TO TITLE III OF THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES
ACT, PUBLIC LAW 101-336. DESIGN RESOLUTION DOES NOT ATTEMPT TO
ADDRESS POTENTIAL CONCERNS ASSOCIATED WITH OTHER TITLES OF
THE ACT THAT IMPLICATE POLICY, PROCEDURE AND
TELECOMMUNICATIONS ISSUES.
CLIENT AGREES TO WAIVE ANY ACTION AGAINST, AND TO INDEMNIFY
AND DEFEND DESIGN PROFESSIONAL AGAINST ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM
ALLEGED FAILURE TO MEET ADA DESIGN REQUIREMENTS. CLIENT
UNDERSTANDS THAT INTERPRETATION OF ADA IS A LEGAL ISSUE AND
NOT A DESIGN ISSUE AND, ACCORDINGLY, RETENTION OF LEGAL
COUNSEL FOR PURPOSES OF INTERPRETATION 15 ADVISEABLE.
THE INTERIOR FINISPE5 PACKAGE HAS BEEN GENERATED PER THE
EXPRESS DIRECTION OF THE TENANT. RESULTANT DESIGN DOES NOT
ADDRESS THE READILY ACHIEVABLE REMOVAL OF ARCHITECTURAL AND
COMMUNICATION BARRIERS THAT ARE STRUCTURAL IN NATURE AS SET
FORTH TITLE III OF THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT, PUBLIC LAW
101-536.
ALL MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, AND SPRINKLER WORK SHALL BE

GENERAL NOTES
THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH THE OWNER
DAILY WORKING HOURS, WEEKEND HOURS, AND POURS THAT MAY BE
WORKED PRIOR TO AND DURING HOLIDAYS.
THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL ESTABLISH WITP THE OWNER
GLEAN -UP PROCEDURES AND GUIDELINES TO BE FOLLOWED ON A
WEEKLY BASIS TO ALLOW THE OWNER TO CONDUCT BUSINE55 IN A SAFE
AND CLEAN ENVIRONMENT.
THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN A CLEAR AND
UNOBSTRUCTED PATHWAY TO ALL EXITS DURING DEMOLITION AND NEW
CONSTRUCTION.
THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH THE OWNER, AN
AREA FOR STAGING OF CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT, JOB SITE
TRAILER, (IF APPLICABLE), AND DUMPSTER.
THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH THE OWNER
DESIGNATED PARKING AREAS TO BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF
PARKING CONSTRUCTION AND DELIVERY VEHICLES.
THE USE OF EXISTING RESTROOM FACILITIES HA5 BEEN APPROVED BY
THE OWNER. ONLY DESIGNATED RESTROOM FACILITIES MAY BE USED BY
CONSTRUCTION CREWS.
EXISTING FACILITIES ARE NOT APPROVED FOR USE BY CONSTRUCTION
CREWS, THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE TEMPORARY
RESTROOM FACILITIES.
DRAWINGS SHALL BE RETURNED AND WILL BECOME THE PROPERTY OF
THE OWNER AT THE COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT.
ALL CHANGES SPALL BE APPROVED BY THE ARCHITECT AND OWNER
PRIOR TO PROCEEDING WITH THE WORK.
ALL EXISTING FLOOR AND WALL SUBSTRATES SHALL BE LEVELED AND
PATCHED AS REQUIRED TO RECEIVE NEW CONSTRUCTION AND FINISHES,
THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR VISITING THE
SITE TO BECOME FAMILIAR WITH THE EXISTING CONDITIONS. THE
DEMOLITION PLAN AND NOTES SHALL SERVE TO AID THE CONTRACTOR
IN NIS EVALUATION OF THE EXTENT OF THE DEMOLITION, BUT SHALL NOT
BE HELD TO BE INCLUSIVE.
THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY ALL EXISTING WALL,
FLOOR, AND CEILING CONDITIONS TO DETERMINE THE EXTENT AND
METHODS OF DEMOLITION TO ALLOW FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION. ANY
DEVIATIONS SHALL BE REPORTED TO THE ARCHITECT PRIOR TO
COMMENCEMENT OF CONSTRUCTION.
ALL AREAS PATCHED OR AFFECTED BY DEMOLITION SHALL BE PATCHED
TO MATCH EXISTING ADJACENT CONSTRUCTION AND FINISH.
UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, ALL FLOOR, CEILING, AND DECK
PENETRATIONS SHALL BE PATCHED AND SEALED TO MATCH EXISTING,
SCRIBED TO FIT TIGHT AND CAULKED TO SEAL. PATCHES SHALL NOT
ALLOW LIQUID TO PENETRATE AND SPALL CONFORM TO EQUAL FIRE
RATING OF SURROUNDING MATERIAL. PENETRATIONS AND REQUIRED
PATCHING ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE TRADE MAKING THESE
