NORTH
GENERAL PLUMBING NOTES
1. Contractor shall contact and coordinate with all applicable utilities, verify and be responsible
for any and all fees associated with irstallatior of plumbing systems.
2. Contractor shall verify existing conditions and existing water/sewer locations prior to
commencing work. Notify architect of any inconsistencies with the plans and
specifications.
3. Plumbing and piping systems shall be installed complete per all applicable state and local
codes.
4. Provide all required waste, vent, flex connections, guages, shut-off valves, unions as required
for each fixture to make a working system.
5. Refer to architectural and site civil drawings for exact locations of piping and fixtures and/or
additional plumbing details. Do not scale these drawings.
6. Pipe routing is diagramatic. Contractor shall make routing changes as required to
coordinate with other trades.
7. All pipe sizes shown on drawings or scheduled are minimum sizes.
8. Overhead piping shall be held tight to underside of structural members except when in
conflict with other trades or otherwise noted on the plans.
9. Underslab/overhead sanitary piping shall be pitched minimum of 1/8" per foot.
10. Provide gas valve, union and drip leg for all gas fired equipment.
11. Provide mater hammer arrestors for each fixture group upstream of last fixture.
12. All hot and cold water piping located above ceilings, on perimeter walls and in subfreezing
spaces shall be insulated with 1/2" Armaflex, Pipe insulation not required for pipe located in interior
plumbing chases behind fixtures unless chase located on exterior wall.
13. Fixtures specified may be substituted with approved equal. All fixture colors shall be white
except stainless fixtures.

GENERAL PLUMBING NOTES
1. Contractor shall contact and coordinate with all applicable utilities, verify and be responsible
for any and all fees associated with irstallatior of plumbing systems.
2. Contractor shall verify existing conditions and existing water/sewer locations prior to
commencing work. Notify architect of any inconsistencies with the plans and
specifications.
3. Plumbing and piping systems shall be installed complete per all applicable state and local
codes.
4. Provide all required waste, vent, flex connections, guages, shut-off valves, unions as required
for each fixture to make a working system.
5. Refer to architectural and site civil drawings for exact locations of piping and fixtures and/or
additional plumbing details. Do not scale these drawings.
6. Pipe routing is diagramatic. Contractor shall make routing changes as required to
coordinate with other trades.
7. All pipe sizes shown on drawings or scheduled are minimum sizes.
8. Overhead piping shall be held tight to underside of structural members except when in
conflict with other trades or otherwise noted on the plans.
9. Underslab/overhead sanitary piping shall be pitched minimum of 1/8" per foot.
10. Provide gas valve, union and drip leg for all gas fired equipment.
11. Provide mater hammer arrestors for each fixture group upstream of last fixture.
12. All hot and cold water piping located above ceilings, on perimeter walls and in subfreezing
spaces shall be insulated with 1/2" Armaflex, Pipe insulation not required for pipe located in interior
plumbing chases behind fixtures unless chase located on exterior wall.
13. Fixtures specified may be substituted with approved equal. All fixture colors shall be white
except stainless fixtures.
