THE DEMOLITION CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR FAMILIARIZING HIMSELF WITH THE MALL RULES & REGULATIONS BEFORE & DURING THE COURSE OF CONSTRUCTION. SHOULD A CONFLICT ARISE BETWEEN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS & THE MALL RULES, THE CONTRACTOR IS TO NOTIFY ARCHITECT AND AT IMMEDIATELY. MALL RULES & REGULATIONS SHALL GOVERN EXCEPT WHERE THEY ARE IN CONFLICT W/ APPLICABLE CODES & ORDINANCES. 2. DEMOLITION CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE ALL PHASES OF DEMOLITION FOR PROJECT AND NOTIFY ARCHITECT AND AT OF ANY DISCREPANCIES OR CONFLICTING CONDITIONS WHICH WOULD INTERFERE WITH THE SATISFACTORY COMPLETION OF THE WORK, PRIOR TO THE START OF CONSTRUCTION. 3. DEMOLITION SHALL BE DONE IN NEAT WORKMANLIKE MANNER WITHIN THE LIMITS INDICATED IN THE DRAWINGS AND IN ALL CASES TO THE EXTENT NEEDED TO PRODUCE THE INTENDED WORK. 4. A) GENERAL CONTRACTOR (G.C.) IS RESPONSIBLE FOR DEMOLITION & REMOVAL OF ALL DEBRIS AND DISCARDED MATERIALS AND/OR EQUIPMENT AS INDICATED WITHIN THE SPACE. B) G.C. IS RESPONSIBLE FOR REMOVAL OF MATERIALS FROM BUILDING PREMISES ON A DAILY BASIS. DO NOT MIX CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS WITH THAT OF BUILDING OCCUPANTS. 5. G.C. IS TO COORDINATE WITH MALL MANAGEMENT THE USE OF SERVICES, AND TO CONFORM TO ALL BUILDING REGULATIONS WITH REGARD TO DEMOLITION. 6. A) ALL MAJOR DEMOLITION AND NOISE CREATING WORK SHALL BE COORDINATED WITH MALL MANAGEMENT FOR ALLOWABLE HOURS OF OPERATION. B) THE FOLLOWING WORK, IN WHICH LANDLORD IS TO BE NOTIFIED IN ADVANCE, MUST BE DONE ON OVERTIME AND NOT DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS: - DEMOLITION WHICH PER MALL MANAGER'S JUDGMENT MAY CAUSE DISRUPTION TO OTHER TENANTS. WORK PERFORMED OUTSIDE OF TENANT'S PREMISES. OTHER ACTIVITIES THAT, IN MALL MANAGER'S JUDGMENT, MAY DISTURB OTHER TENANTS. 7. G.C. TO COORDINATE WITH THE MALL MANAGEMENT, AT & ARCHITECT AS TO THE PROTECTION AND/OR STORAGE OF ANY ITEMS TO BE SAVED FROM DEMOLITION. 8. G.C. TO CONFIRM WITH AT & ARCHITECT BEFORE START OF DEMOLITION WHICH ITEMS INDICATED ON DRAWINGS ARE TO BE REMOVED FROM SITE FOR ITEMS DEEMED NOT REQUIRED BY AT. 9. G.C. IS RESPONSIBLE TO PROTECT ALL EXISTING ITEMS TO REMAIN THROUGHOUT THE COURSE OF DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION. 10. G.C. MUST PROVIDE ALL REQUIRED PROTECTION TO ALL SURROUNDING AREAS THROUGHOUT COURSE OF DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION. 11. G.C. IS RESPONSIBLE TO REPAIR AND/OR REPLACE ANY DAMAGE IN THE SURROUNDING AREAS CAUSED BY DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION IN "AREA OF WORK.' 12. A) ALL UNUSED PLUMBING, SHEET METAL DUCTS, AND EQUIPMENT LINES MUST BE REMOVED AND CAPPED AT THE MAIN RISER OR BRANCH CONNECTION. B) ALL BUILDING SHUTDOWNS - ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING, HVAC EQUIPMENT, FIRE AND LIFE SAFETY SYSTEM- MUST BE COORDINATED WITH MALL MANAGEMENT IN ADVANCE. 13. G.C. SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSSES INCURRED IN THE EVENT THAT THE LOSS OF ANY SERVICE PREVENTS THE CLIENT FROM CONDUCTING BUSINESS. ELECTRICAUDATA/PHONE• 14. ANY REMOVAL OF SUCH ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT SHALL BE DONE IN SUCH A WAY AS TO ALLOW THE OPERATIONS OF ADJACENT TENANTS TO CONTINUE WITHOUT INTERRUPTION OF ANY SERVICE DURING DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE ALL NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS IN ORDER TO COMPLY WITH THIS ORDER. 15. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROBE ALL CABLES PRIOR TO REMOVAL TO INSURE THAT NO OPERATIONS ARE INADVERTENTLY INTERRUPTED. 16. REMOVE ALL TELEPHONE EQUIPMENT AS REQUIRED FOR NEW WORK. 17. REMOVE ALL POWER/DATA & TELEPHONE OUTLETS IN PARTITIONS AND COLUMN ENCLOSURES WHICH ARE DEEMED TO BE REMOVED, AS WELL AS IN CORE WALLS THROUGHOUT. REMOVE ALL ABANDONED ELECTRICAL AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS CABLING & CONDUIT BACK TO THE SOURCE. FLOOR OUTLETS: 18. ALL POWER/DATA FLOOR OUTLETS ARE TO BE REMOVED & SHALL HAVE WIRE/CABLE REMOVED BACK TO ORIGINAL SOURCE. COORDINATE W/ ENG. DRAWINGS. QUANTITIES & CONDITIONS VIF. 19. REMOVE & CAP ALL ELECTRICAL AND DATA OUTLETS NOT BEING REUSED IN AREAS OF WORK. COORDINATE W/ ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS. 9. G.C. SHALL HAVE AN ELECTRICIAN ON PREMISES DURING DEMOLITION AFFECTING ELECTRICAL LINES IN AREA OF WORK AND ADJACENT SPACES. DUCTWORK: REFER TO MECHANICAL DRAWINGS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. PARTITIONS: 21. A) REMOVE ALL PARTITIONS IN THEIR ENTIRETY, WHERE INDICATED, INCLUDING GYPSUM WALL BOARD AND PLASTER PARTITIONS. B) REMOVE ALL ASSOCIATED STUDS, TRACKS, FINISHES, ETC. AT PARTITIONS TO BE REMOVED. C) REMOVE ALL CORNER GUARDS. PIPING REMOVAL: 22. ELECTRICAL CONDUITS AND PIPING STACKS IN EXISTING WALLS WHICH ARE DEEMED TO BE REMOVED, SHALL BE DEMOLISHED, UNLESS THEY RUN FROM FLOOR SLAB TO FLOOR SLAB. COORDINATE WITH ARCHITECT AND ENGINEER AS REQUIRED. 23. A) REMOVE ALL DOORS, FRAMES AND RELATED HARDWARE, WHERE INDICATED. B) COORDINATE WITH ARCHITECT FOR DOORS, FRAMES AND HARDWARE TO BE SALVAGED. 24. DEMOLITION CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT REMOVE BUILDING CORE DOORS INCLUDING FIRE EXIT DOORS AND ELEVATOR DOORS, UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED. CEILINGS: 25. A) REMOVE ALL CEILINGS IN THEIR ENTIRETY IN "AREA OF WORK" INCLUDING HUNG CEILING SYSTEM, DUTCHMAN, PLASTER AND GYPSUM WALL BOARD. B) REMOVE ALL ASSOCIATED, GRID, TILES, CLIPS, HANGERS ETC BACK TO SLAB ABOVE LIGHT FIXTURES: 26. REMOVE ALL EXISTING LIGHT FIXTURES, RECESSED AND SURFACE MOUNTED, ALL EXIT LIGHTS AND SWITCHES IN "AREA OF WORK", U.O.N. ELECTRICAL FEEDS / HOMERUNS TO REMAIN FOR RECIRCUITING. REFER TO ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS FOR EXISTING LIGHT FIXTURE THAT WILL BE REUSED. MILLWORK - 27. G.C. TO REMOVE ALL EXISTING MILLWORK SCHEDULED FOR DEMOLITION. FINISHES: 28.
