• Arranged and attended interview for Mayor Brainard with The
Guardian reporter Oliver Millman in New York.
• Arranged meeting for Mayor with site selection consultants George
Tobjy and Anthony Ceretti of KPMG in New York (Mayor had to
cancel because of another engagement but KPMG said they'd be
happy to do it another time):

• Did extensive outreach for additional media appointments for Mayor
while he was in New York for the CEO Summit.
• Spoke with and followed up via email with author James Fallows of
The Atlantic, making the pitch for him to visit Carmel.
• Arranged Interview with Talk Media Radio reporter Luke Vargas.

• Helped Dan McFeely make contact with NYTimes columnist Bret
Stephens
• Traveled to Carmel to participate in tour of city for Jeff Finkle,
President and CEO of the International Economic Development
Council regarding IEDC's plan to bring part of their annual meeting
to Carmel in October of 2019.
• Offered edits to Nancy Heck's speech regarding Carmel's
participation in the 2019 International Development Council Annual
Meeting
• Continued to pitch Carmel and the Mayor as an interview subject for
media covering the environment and "smart city" development.
• Intensified outreach to media in advance of the June 1 anniversary of
the U.S. withdrawal from the Paris Climate Accord, emphasizing
steps Carmel is taking on the local level to reduce its carbon
footprint even in the midst of an unprecedented spurt of
development.
July Work Plan
• Continue to seek to persuade Coral Davenport of the New York Times
.and other journalists covering the environment to visit Carmel for
stories related to the City's environmental practices
• Follow up with media who continue to express interest in Carmel's
Roundabouts, along with initiatives by the city on the environment.
• Continue reaching out to national media who may be interested in
interviewing Michael Feinstein re: Carmel and the Center for the
Performing Arts, particularly as it relates to the donation of Asherwood
for the.Great American Songbook museum.
• Continue outreach to site consultants with Carmel and an invitation for
.them to consider Carmel for the corporate expansions and relocations
they are managing.
• Share (with the Mayor and Nancy Heck) appropriate media leads that
come my way; follow up appropriately.
