O6 CONTRACTOR TO VERIFY MAXIMUM LOADS ALLOWED ON TOP OF OR
ALONG THE SIDES OF THE EXISTING TUNNEL. CONTACT STRUCTURAL
ENGINEER. IF NECESSARY THE CONTRACTOR MAY BARRICADE THE
TUNNEL AREA.
O7 CONTRACTOR MUST BE AWARE OF EXISTING STORM LINE AND BURIED
UTILITIES SO TRAFFIC LOADS DO NOT DAMAGE THE UTILITIES.
CONTRACTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO EXISTING
UTILITIES.
PREPARATION GENERAL NOTES
1. ALL MATERIAL EXCEPT THAT BELONGING TO A PUBLIC OR PRIVATE UTILITY
COMPANY SHALL BECOME THE PROPERTY OF THE CONTRACTOR. THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE OWNERS OF WATER, ELECTRIC, OR GAS METERS
(UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED) WHEN THE METERS ARE READY FOR REMOVAL, AND
SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DISCONNECTING ALL UTILITIES IN COMPLIANCE
WITH LOCAL REQUIREMENTS.
2. THE EXISTING UTILITY LOCATIONS ARE APPROXIMATE AND BASED ON THE BEST
AVAILABLE INFORMATION. THE CONTRACTOR IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR
VERIFYING THESE LOCATIONS AND ANY DAMAGE WHICH IS DONE TO SAID
UTILITIES.
3. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO STUDY THE PLANS AND
VISIT THE SITE TO DETERMINE THE ITEMS THAT MUST BE REMOVED TO COMPLY
WITH THE SITE DEVELOPMENT PLANS. NO EXTRA FEE WILL BE PND FOR THE
REMOVAL OR RELOCATION OF ANY ITEM NOT LISTED THAT IS VISIBLE UPON A
SITE VISIT. THE DEMOLITION LEGEND AND NOTES ARE INTENDED TO SIMPLIFY
THE DRAWINGS, AND DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT ALL ITEMS ARE ADDRESSED.
4. REMOVE FROM SITE DEBRIS, RUBBISH, AND OTHER MATERIALS RESULTING FROM
DEMOLITION OPERATIONS IN A LEGAL MANNER.
5. NO BURNING OF ANY MATERIAL, DEBRIS, OR TRASH ONSITE WILL BE ALLOWED,
EXCEPT WHEN ALLOWED BY APPROPRIATE GOVERNING AUTHORITY AND OWNER. IF
ALLOWED AS STATED ABOVE, BURNING SHALL BE PERFORMED IN A MANNER
PRESCRIBED BY GOVERNING AUTHORITY. ATTEND BURNING MATERIALS UNTIL
FIRES HAVE BURNED OUT AND HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY EXTINGUISHED.
6. TRANSPORT MATERIALS REMOVED FROM DEMOLISHED STRUCTURES WITH
APPROPRIATE VEHICLES AND DISPOSE OF OFFSITE TO AREAS APPROVED
FOR DISPOSAL BY GOVERNING AUTHORITIES AND APPROPRIATE PROPERTY
OWNERS.
7. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE TO OBTAIN ALL DEMOLITION PERMITS.
S. STRIP TOPSOIL FROM ALL AREAS TO BE DISTURBED BY CONSTRUCTION
OPERATIONS OR MATERIAL STORAGE.
9. ALL EXISTING SITE IMPROVEMENTS MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE SITE. PRIOR
TO CONSTRUCTION THE DEMOLITION CONTRACTOR IS TO NOTIFY THE ENGINEER
WHO PREPARED DEMOLITION DOCUMENT IF THERE ARE ANY DISCREPANCIES.
10. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE EXTREME CARE TO AVOID DISRUPTING THE
EXISTING BUILDINGS AND RELATED BUSINESSES ADJACENT TO THE SITE.
11. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONFIRM THE EXTENTS OF EXISTING UTILITIES ON THE
SITE AND ENSURE THAT THE WORK SHOWN ON THESE PLANS WILL NOT ADVERSELY
AFFECT UTILITIES AND DRAINAGE PIPES SERVING OTHER BUILDINGS IN THE
VICINITY OF THIS SITE.
12. REMOVAL OF THE EXISTING ASPHALT PAVEMENT INDICATED IN THE PROPOSED
PAVED AREAS SHALL INCLUDE ALL AGGREGATE BASE MATERIALS. SAW CUT
AREAS CLEAN, NEAT, AND TRUE TO UNE SO NO CHIPPING OR BREAKING
OF THE EXISTING PAVEMENT OCCURS.
