Activities
• Helped arrange Mayor Brainard's participation in the radio media
tour sponsored by the World Wildlife Fund and scheduled for Sept.
10.
• Sent follow up pitch of Carmel and the Mayor as an interview subject
for the major Midtown projects, environmental stewardship and
"smart city" development, to Shayndi Rice in the Chicago bureau of
the Wall Street Journal.
• Continued monitoring progress in regarding IEDC's plan to bring
part of their annual meeting to Carmel in October of 2019. Made

Iater,September 2018:
• Monitored national media attention related to the vandalism of the
Jewish synagogue in Carmel in late July. There was little if any in
August (and not much in July).
• Shared Indy Star story on Midtown development as well as news of,
Niche.com ranking Carmel the nation's best place to live for the
second consecutive year as well as other developments with site
selection consultants in New York, New Jersey, Dallas and
Cleveland, including, among others:

September Work Plan
• Assist with talking points for the Mayor and other needs in advance of
the World Wildlife Fund radio media tour scheduled for Sept. 10.
• Follow up with journalists covering the environment to visit Carmel for
stories related to the City's environmental practice.
• Join the Carmel delegation at the IEDC annual meeting in Atlanta.
• Follow up with media who continue to express interest in Carmel's
Roundabouts, along with initiatives by the city on the environment.
• Continue outreach to site consultants with Carmel and an invitation for
them to consider Carmel for the corporate expansions and relocations
they are managing.
• Share (with the Mayor and Nancy Heck) appropriate media leads that
come my way; follow up appropriately.
• Continue outreach for relevant speaking engagements for the Mayor
and/or other Carmel representatives.
