D-2429-18 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA, AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING AN APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FROM THE OPERATING BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND TO THE 2018 CARMEL DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY SERVICES BUDGET Synopsis: Appropriates funds to the 2018 Carmel Department of Community Services budget that were received by the City as refunds from the Hamilton County Treasurer. WHEREAS, each year the Carmel Department of Community Services receives a refund of fees that were paid to the Hamilton County Treasurer; WHEREAS, Check number #2288748 in the amount of $4,089.00 has been received and deposited into the General Fund (Fund 101); WHEREAS, the funds received from the Hamilton County Treasurer must be appropriated from the General Fund back into the Department of Community Services budget in order to pay the costs associated with code enforcement; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, that the following additional sum of money is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund Operating Balance and for the purposes specified, subject to applicable laws, as follows: $4,089.00 from the GENERAL FUND OPERATING Balance To Department of Community Services: Line item 4350900 — Other Contracted Services $3,921.00 Department of Community Services: Line item 4340600 — Recording Fees $168.00 This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, execution by the Mayor.
