Thank you for emailing us. I will ask Joe to print off your support letter email for the BZA Docket No. 18090007 V file.
Please note that Planning Staff is of the same opinion as you, that the variance request should have a positive consideration.
We will most likely recommend that in our BZA Staff Report. This variance request just needs to go through the proper
review/approval route (BZA Hearing Officer – Oct. 22 meeting.)

Dear Angie,
I called today in order to understand the situation with the proposed fence at this
address. Joslyn was kind enough to give me the background. I understand that this issue
is eligible for a variance. I would like to voice my support that a variance be granted.
While I fully support the rationale and purpose behind the 42” height limitation for a
“front” yard, in this case, I would like to error on the side of the resident. Since this
fence is a replacement of an existing fence, I would like to advocate that we allow it to
be replaced and give them privacy in their backyard. I have also asked the resident to
make sure that none of the neighbors have a problem with this plan.
I hope you will consider my request and please call me if I can provide further details of
my position. Thank you.
