Joslyn was kind enough to give me the background. I understand that this issue is eligible for a variance. I would like to voice my support that a variance be granted. While I fully support the rationale and purpose behind the 42” height limitation for a “front” yard, in this case, I would like to error on the side of the resident. Since this fence is a replacement of an existing fence, I would like to advocate that we allow it to be replaced and give them privacy in their backyard. I have also asked the resident to make sure that none of the neighbors have a problem with this plan. I hope you will consider my request and please call me if I can provide further details of my position. Thank you.
