SECTION 02910 -
SOIL EROSION CONTROL SEQUENCE
THE FOLLOWING IS A LIST IN SEQUENCE OF CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES TO CONTROL
SOIL EROSION:
\ ` 1. CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL SEDIMENT TRAPS AND STRAW BALE FILTERS, AS
PART OF INITIAL PHASE OF ANY WORK TO INSURE MAXIMUM SILT RETENTION ON-SITE.
2. MASS GRADE THE SITE (SIDES OF SWALES, MOUNDS AND PONDS TO BE SEEDED
AND MULCHED IMMEDIATELY UPON COMPLETION). TEMPORARY SEEDING SHALL BE
I REQUIRED FOR ALL SWALES AND DISTURBED AREAS THAT CANNOT BE FINAL SEEDED
WITHIN A TIME PERIOD THAT WILL PREVENT SLOPE EROSION. FOR TEMPORARY
SEEDING, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL UTILIZE A FAST GROWING SEED OF EITHER OATS,
ANNUAL RYEGRASS, WHEAT OR RYE DEPENDING ON 11ME OF YEAR. DISTURBED AREAS
