Monthly Report October 2018
Activities
Participated with Carmel's delegation in the annual meeting of the
International Economic Development Council (IEDC) annual meeting
in Atlanta. IEDC's awards dinner will take place in Carmel next year,
preceded by a Carmel city tour.
Drafted and submitted comments for Carmel and Mayor Brainard for
Environment America's Mayors for Solar Energy letter.
• Followed up to provide more information on the invitation for Mayor
Brainard to speak at the C-Suite keynotes at the Ethical
Corporation's Responsible Business Summit New York 2019.
• Discussed, on Mayor's behalf, with World Wildlife Officials the
Mayor's potential participation in the Global Climate Summit in
Poland Dec. 7-10.
• Shared most recent Carmel accolades — particularly Money
magazine's naming of Carmel as the #3 city in the United States to
live —with more than 100 top site selection consultants in:
o New York
o New Jersey
o Chicago
o Dallas
o Atlanta
o San Francisco
o Los Angeles
Followed up with Justin Fox of Bloomberg News author of story on
roundabouts highly complimentary'of Carmel's initiative in that arena:

November Work Plan
• Pursue arrangements, if needed for Mayor Brainard's participation in
the Global Climate Summit in Poland set for Dec. 7-10
• Follow up with journalists covering the environment to visit Carmel for
stories related to the City's environmental practice.
• Follow up with media who continue to express interest in Carmel's
Roundabouts, along with initiatives by the city on the environment.
•_ Continue outreach to site consultants with Carmel and an invitation for
them to consider Carmel for the corporate expansions and relocations
they are managing.
• Share (with the Mayor and Nancy Heck) appropriate media leads that
come my way; follow up appropriately.
• Continue out for relevant speaking engagements for the Mayor
and/or other Carmel representatives.
