SECTION 09 65 66 - RESILIENT ATHLETIC FLOORING
PART 1 - GENERAL
1.1 RELATED DOCUMENTS
A. Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary
Conditions and Division 01 Specification Sections, apply to this Section.
1.2 SUMMARY
A. Section includes interlocking rubber mat flooring.
B. Related Requirements:
1. Cast-In-Place Concrete Specification Section 03 30 00.
1.3 PRE-INSTALLATION MEETINGS
A. Pre-installation Conference: Conduct conference at Project site.
1.4 ACTION SUBMITTALS
A. Product Data: For each type of product.
1. Include construction details, material descriptions, dimensions of individual components
and profiles, and finishes for rubber mat flooring.
B. Shop Drawings:
1. Include plans, elevations, sections, and layout and installation details.
C. Samples: For each exposed product and for each color and texture specified.
D. Samples for Initial Selection: For each type of exposed finish.
E. Samples for Verification: For each type of unit.
1. Interlocking rubber floor mat units.
1.5 INFORMATIONAL SUBMITTALS
A. Qualification Data: For Installer and manufacturer.
B. Product Certificates: For each type of rubber floor mat.
C. Product Test Reports: For each test performed by manufacturer and witnessed by a qualified
testing agency.

D. Sample Warranty: For manufacturer's warranty.
1.6 CLOSEOUT SUBMITTALS
A. Maintenance Data: For rubber floor mats to include in maintenance manuals.
1.7 MAINTENANCE MATERIAL SUBMITTALS
A. Furnish extra materials, from the same product run, that match products installed and that are
packaged with protective covering for storage and identified with labels describing contents.
1. Rubber Floor Mats: Full-size units equal to two percent of quantity installed for each size
indicated.
1.8 QUALITY ASSURANCE
A. Manufacturer Qualifications: Refer to Specification Section 01 40 00 “Quality Requirements.”
B. Installer Qualifications: Refer to Specification Section 01 40 00 “Quality Requirements.”
1.9 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
A. Deliver materials to site in manufacturer’s original, unopened containers and packaging, with
labels clearly identifying product name and manufacturer.
1. Materials shall not be delivered until all related work is in place and finished and/or proper
storage facilities and conditions can be provided and guaranteed stable according to
manufacturer’s recommendations.
B. Protect materials during handling and installation to prevent damage.
C. Store materials in a secure, clean and dry location. Maintain temperatures between 55 deg. And
85 deg. F. Store the material on a clean, flat surface.
1.10 WARRANTY
A. Manufacturer's Warranty: Manufacturer agrees to repair or replace components of resilient
athletic flooring system that fail(s) in materials or workmanship within specified warranty period.
1. Warranty Period: Manufacturer’s standard warranty period for product.
PART 2 - PRODUCTS
2.1 MANUFACTURERS
A. Products: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide the following:
1. ProMaxima; Interlocking Rubber Acmaw.
2. See Finish Legend on Drawings for additional information.

2.2 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
A. Interlocking rubber floor mat units.
PART 3 - EXECUTION
3.1 EXAMINATION
A. Examine substrates and conditions, with Installer present, for compliance with requirements for
maximum moisture content, installation tolerances and other conditions affecting performance
of the Work.
B. Examine products and materials before installation. Reject products or materials that are wet,
moisture damaged, or mold damaged.
C. Examine floors and other surfaces for suitable conditions where product will be installed.
D. Prepare written report, endorsed by Installer, listing conditions detrimental to performance.
E. Proceed with installation only after unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected.
3.2 PREPARATION
A. Follow manufacturer’s written instructions.
3.3 INSTALLATION
A. Comply with manufacturer’s written instructions for installation of rubber mat floor system.
3.4 PROTECTION
A. Remove and replace rubber mat flooring units that are damaged.
