Dear Committee,
I am writing in regards to the zoning variance request docket#18100001 PUD 106`s and Ditch PUD rezone.The property requested for the variance is directly behind my home.I encourage
you to vote against this rezoning.
It is clearly an area of larger estate properties.The property involved is zoned S-1.According to the City of Carmel Comprehensive Plan,it is stated on page 25 as objective 1.1"(To)
Preserve the estate character of West Cannel by protecting large-lot residential areas..."In fact,the entire section West Carmel Policies and Objectives substantiates the S-1 zoning.
This plan establishes the objectives for future development and policy for the development of public places.Rezoning this property to a PUD does not meet with the objectives set forth in
the CP3 Plan,nor does it fit with the existing area.
In conclusion,I encourage you to vote against this rezoning request,and maintain the S-1 zoning for this property.
