RE: Rezone 7 Sherman Dr. Carmel IN
Docket Nos.: 18090012 Z& 18090013 DP/ADLS
Hello Angie Conn,
I am Martin R. Oman residing at 69 Sherman Dr. Carmel IN., the second house south of 7 Sherman Dr.
I oppose this rezoning because of the following:
The current desirable character of the neighborhood will be drastically changed. Building four two story town homes is entirely
too much for the lot. The lot would be nearly consumed with little green space.
Traffic and congestion will increase resulting in a less desirable place to live. Each unit has only two parking spaces. Additional
parking would likely be on Sherman Dr. near Main St. causing a bottle neck at the intersection. Often times at rush hour, there is
bumper to bumper traffic on Main St. by Sherman Dr. Using Sherman Dr. to enter or exit Main St. is often difficult.
Rezoning will set a precedent for neighborhoods with more of the same likely to follow. This rezone is not in the best interest of
nearby homeowners.
Please keep the desires of homeowners in mind as you address this rezone request.
Thank you for your consideration.
Martin
