D-2449-18 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA, AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FROM THE OPERATING BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND TO THE 2018 CARMEL FIRE DEPARTMENT BUDGET Synopsis: Appropriates funds to the 2018 Carmel Fire Department budget that were received by the City from Clay Township to cover the cost of medical exams. WHEREAS, Clay Township reimbursed the CFD Seventy Eight Thousand Five Hundred Seventy Two Dollars and Sixty Cents ($78,572.60) for the cost of physicals that are required for CFD firefighters; WHEREAS, the funds received from Clay Township must be appropriated from the General Fund back into the CFD budget in order to cover the cost of the physical exams administered to CFD firefighters. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, that the following additional sum of money is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund Operating Balance and for the purposes specified, subject to applicable laws, as follows: $78,572.60 from the GENERAL FUND OPERATING Balances To Carmel Fire Department (1120): 43407-01— Medical Exams $78,572.60 Ordinance D-2449-18 Page One of Two This Ordinance was prepared by Benjamin J.
