One of the quotes was used in the piece (https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/an-indiana- race-shows-the-clash-within-the-two-parties/2018/11/05/fl 1038cO- e11b-11e8-8f5f-a55347f48762 /05/f11038c0- e11b-11e8-8f5f-a55347f48762 story.html?utm term=.fd37f64d9e20) in which Carmel was described as "a booming community of 92,000 just north of Indianapolis." • Recommended that the Mayor do an interview with reporter Elizabeth . Eaves (https://thebuIletin.org/biography/elisabeth-eaves/) and sent her the latest list of Carmel's initiatives in the area of carbon reduction. • Followed up with recommendations for Carmel's role in the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) annual meeting next year. • Followed up with drafted comments for Carmel and Mayor Brainard for Environment America's Mayors for Solar Energy letter. • Confirmed on Mayor's behalf, World Wildlife Fund's willingness to pay travel expenses for Mayor's participation in the Global Climate Summit in Poland Dec. 7-10, should he decide to go. December Work Plan • Pursue final arrangements, if needed for Mayor Brainard's participation and publicity activities in the Global Climate Summit in Poland set for Dec. 7-10 • Invite media to visit Carmel during its Chriskindlmarkt 1 ROB DE-ROCKER • Follow up with journalists covering the environment to visit Carmel for stories related to the City's environmental practice. • Follow up with media who continue to express interest in Carmel's Roundabouts, along with initiatives by the city on the environment. • Continue outreach to site consultants with Carmel and an invitation for them to consider Carmel for the corporate expansions and relocations they are managing. • Share (with the Mayor and Nancy Heck) appropriate media leads that come my way; follow up appropriately. • Continue outreach for relevant speaking engagements for the Mayor and/or other Carmel representatives. 2
