1. AN APPROVED WATERPROOFING MEMBRANE IS
REQUIRED FOR ALL EXTERIOR FOUNDATION WALLS
THAT ENCLOSE THE BASEMENT AREA & SHALL EXTEND
FROM TOP OF THE FOOTING TO THE FINISHED GRADE.
2. JOINTS IN THE MEMBRANE SHALL BE LAPPED & SEALED
WITH AN ADHESIVE COMPATIBLE WITH THE
WATERPROOFING MEMBRANE.
TION OF THE RADON EXHAUST PIPE IN THE HVAC CHASE AREA.
5. PLUMBER AND HVAC SUBCONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE THE INSTALLA-
ABOVE THE SURFACE OF THE ROOF IN A LOCATION 10 FEET AWAY FROM
VERTICALLY INTO THE SUB SLAB AGGREGATE AND THROUGH THE
UP THROUGH THE BUILDING FLOORS & TERMINATE AT LEAST 12 INCHES
ANY WINDOW OR OTHER OPENINGS INTO THE CONDITIONED SPACES OF
OF VERTICAL DISTANCE WHERE THE VENT PASSES THROUGH THE ATTIC
IN ADDITION, FISCHER HOMES WILL PROVIDE APPROXIMATELY 6 FEET
SHEETING BEFORE THE SLAB IS POURED. THE PIPE SHALL BE EXTENDED
THE BUILDING THAT IS LESS THAN 2 FEET BELOW THE EXHAUST POINT.
3. A 3 INCH DIAMETER SCH 40 PVC PLUMBING TEE SHALL BE EMBEDDED
FOR THE POSSIBLE INSTALLATION OF A FUTURE EXHAUST FAN.
NOTE: ALL FITTINGS ARE TO GLUED AND SECURED AS NEEDED.
FISCHER HOMES RADON REDUCTION SYSTEM NOTES:
THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE TO BE INSTALLED AS PART OF FISCHER HOMES
RADON REDUCTION SYSTEM:
1. A UNIFORM LAYER OF CLEAN AGGREGATE AT A MINIMUM OF 4 INCHES
UNDER THE CONCRETE SLAB.
2. A 6 MIL POLYETHYLENE OR EQUIVALENT FLEXIBLE SHEETING MATERIAL
SHALL BE PLACED ON TOP OF THE GRAVEL. THE SHEETING SHALL FIT
CLOSELY AROUND ANY PIPE, WIRE, OR OTHER PENETRATIONS OF THE
MATERIAL. ALL PUNCTURES OR TEARS IN MATERIALS SHALL BE SEALED
OR COVERED WITH ADDITIONAL SHEETING.
4. TO PROVIDE FOR FUTURE INSTALLATION OF AN ACTIVE SYSTEM, AN
ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT TERMINATED IN AN APPROVED BOX SHALL BE
INSTALLED DURING CONSTRUCTION IN THE ATTIC WITHIN 6'-0" OF THE
RADON PIPE FOR THE POSSIBLE INSTALLATION OF A FUTURE EXHAUST FAN.
