OF oommuwrY DEVELoPMENI' MEMO 7:k RIE: SWIMMING POOL S Two inspections will need to be performed by the Carmel Department of Community Development prior to the use of the pool. Indicate on the pool permit who will call in inspections. (Minimum 24-hour notice is required) First inspection (rough -in) needs to be called in after the hole is excavated, plumbing and electrical installed, but before any concrete is poured or pool bottom or sides are installed. Corners of the pool deck must be marked, preferably staked. After plumbing and electrical is installed (before it is covered up), have corners of pool staked for inspection. Second inspection (Final) needs to be called in to the Carmel Department of Community Development once project is complete, fence installed, all grading and seeding done. If the homeowner is responsible for this, it must be noted on the permit application. Per approved ordinance, fines are to be assessed if request for inspections are not called in and completed by our inspectors at the proper time. Wesley G. Bucher Director Dept.
