You have addressed all comments and concerns of the Planning/Zoning Dept. and the Windemere Gated Entrance proposal is approved administrate. As a (hopefully) final step, please check with Caleb Warner in the Carmel Engineering Dept. for any permits needed for construction. (I know you will be doing improvements within a private street area, but construction equipment will be using city roads to get to the site.) Have a great day! In reference to your last email: A. Both east and west (entry and exit) drive lanes are at least 20' wide. B. The pedestrian gates open freely and are self closing. They will not be locked. D. 1. See "B" above. 4. School bus pick up/discharge areas will not change once the gates are in operation. The bus drivers will have a key fob which permits entry. Carmel/Clay School Transportation Office will also have an additional spare fob. 6. Upon completion of the project, the disturbed areas will be grassed. 9. There will be no access restrictions in regard to City or County departments. 11. Power to the gate operators is continuous. In the event of a major power outage the default position of the gates is the "open" position. Today I spoke with John Thomas at Carmel Engineering. Their department will not require a separate code. He stated that they would simply call CPD for access if it became necessary. I think this covers everything. Please advise. I did not think that after the Ordinance anything further was required. In answer to your "check list": 1. The drive lanes are 20' wide, both east and west sides. 2. The pedestrian gates are not locking but are self closing. 3. Fire Department access - the operating system is will be equipped with the "whoop" siren sensor that was requested By C.F.D. They will also have an access code. 4. Police Department access - access code will be provided. 5. School buses will have access codes for entry for normal pick up inside the subdivision. 6. Landscaping - The entire area will be grassed except for a planter of sorts on the north side of the masonry wall on the median. It will be of similar design and scale as the existing planted areas at the gate house and existing masonry walls. 7. Where/when required, all State, County, City or other inspectors or employees will have access to the subdivision while on official business. 8. Power is continually supplied to the operating system. In the event of a power outage, the default status of the gates is "OPEN". All of this was addressed (I thought) in our initial application to the City for vacation of the stred, ets, all of the intervening discussions and approvals, and finally the Ordinance. I have spoken to C.P. D. and C.F.D. and have designed and contracted for a a system which complies with their requirements. But do I understand that we must now go through a similar chain of events before we can begin construction? Please advise. Nils Lindstrom, Windemere HOA Good afternoon, Nils —
