Re: Range Line Crossing — parking
Dear Mr. Jenkins
The City of Carmel Department of Community Services has reviewed the plans to construct a
roundabout intersection at Range Line Road and Medical Drive, which is the primary access
point for Range Line Crossing shopping center (the Center).
The roundabout and associated improvements appear to cause a net loss of two (2) parking
spaces, as well as loss of greenspace for the center.
In 2012 the Center was granted approval by the Plan Commission and BZA for parking related
issues:
• Docket no. 12030012 ZW: Plan Commission approval for a 35% reduction in total number
of required parking spaces:
• Docket no. 12120023 V: BZA approval for a 38% reduction in total number of required
parking spaces.
It has been determined by this office that no additional approval will be required, as the loss of
two or three additional parking spaces represents a de minimis impact on the overall parking
for the Center, which will still be within a range consistent with previous approvals.
If you have questions or wish to discuss further any of the above, please do not hesitate to
contact me.
Very truly yours,
Michael Hollibau
