And, yes, since it is so close to the meeting, please also bring the paper copies of the letters to hand to the Hearing Officer tonight. Regarding the Findings of Fact, the BZA attorney would write them up only if the short term residential rental petition is denied at tonight’s meeting. Otherwise, if approved, your findings would be adopted. Hope this helps. See you tonight, Angie Conn, AICP Carmel Planning & Zoning Dept. It would be helpful to see this in advance of 5:00 p.m. hearing. I also have a couple of letter of support from adjoiners. Shall I bring those will me? Or would you like me to scan them in and email them to you? Article VI, section 6 of the BZA Rules of Procedure states the following: The petitioner shall also serve notice to the general public by placing a sign per the approval of the Administrator (size and placement) on site of the petition. The sign shall be placed no less than 20 days (or 10 days, for applications to be heard by a BZA Hearing Officer) prior to the public hearing and removed no more than three days after. This should clarify things. Forgive me, but I have gotten two conflicting understandings of my obligation. Because I like to get things done and checked off, I thought I might post the sign as soon as I got it. Then I could check that box as done. But then I wondered how long I was required to post it to satisfy my obligation. I see language that states I must post it at least 10 before. But no language on how long the sign must be posted once it is up. It seems that 10 days posting is implied but not specified. For example can I post my sign for 10 days starting tomorrow? Or once it is posted, am I not allowed to remove it until after the hearing? I apologise for my continuous questions as I navigate all the ins and outs of my obligations to secured the variance. I have read the signage requirements. I note that the signage needs to be up a minimum of 10 days in advance of the hearing. If I am able to get the sign created sooner, is there language that specifies the number of days the sign must be in the yard before it is removed?
