GENERAL DEMOLITION NOTES
A. COORDINATE ALL DEMOLITION WITH NEW WORK.
B. COORDINATE ALL DEMOLITION WITH CUT AND PATCH REQUIREMENTS.
C. DIMENSIONS ARE PROVIDED FOR REFERENCE. FIELD VERIFY ALL
DIMENSIONS BEFORE BEGINNING DEMOLITION.
D. FIELD -VERIFY ALL EXISTING CONDITIONS WHERE DEMOLITION ABUTS NEW
WORK OR EXISTING SCHEDULED TO REMAIN.
E. PROTECT ALL EXISTING SURFACES, MATERIALS, COMPONENTS, ETC.
SCHEDULED TO REMAIN OR TO BE RELOCATED. ANY DAMAGE TO THESE
RESULTING FROM PERFORMANCE OF THE WORK IS TO BE REPAIRED TO
THE ARCHITECTS AND OWNER'S SATISFACTION BY THE CONTRACTOR AT
CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE.
F. WHERE DEMOLITION EXPOSES AN UNFINISHED SURFACE OR CONDITION,
PATCH AND REPAIR EACH SURFACE OR CONDITION TO RECEIVE NEW
FINISHES.
G. REMOVE ALL HANGERS, CLIPS, FASTENERS, ETC. ASSOCIATED WITH ITEMS
SCHEDULED TO BE REMOVED.
H. ALL EXISTING EQUIPMENT, FIXTURES, ETC. SHALL REMAIN THE PROPERTY
OF THE OWNER. ALL REUSABLE ITEMS AND ITEMS DETERMINED BY THE
OWNER TO BE OF VALUE WHICH ARE REMOVED DURING DEMOLITION,
SHALL BE RETAINED FOR THE OWNER'S ACCEPTANCE OR REJECTION. ONLY
THOSE ITEMS REJECTED BY THE OWNER SHALL BE DISPOSED OF IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.
I. REMOVE EXISTING FINISHES AS REQUIRED AND PREP TO RECEIVE NEW.
REFER TO FINISH PLANS FOR SCOPE OF WORK.
J. ALL EXISTING SURFACES ADJACENT TO OR TO BE EXPOSED BY DEMOLITION
AND SCHEDULED TO REMAIN EXPOSED ARE TO BE REPAIRED AND
PATCHED AND MADE READY TO RECEIVE NEW FINISHES. ALL EXISTING
SURFACES ADJACENT TO OR EXPOSED BY DEMOLITION AND SCHEDULED
TO RECEIVE NEW WORK ARE TO BE REPAIRED AND PATCHED TO CLEANLY
RECEIVE NEW WORK.
K. PREPARE ALL WALLS AND FLOORS TO RECEIVE NEW SCHEDULED FINISH.
L. COORDINATE REMOVAL OF ALL FURNISHINGS, ARTWORKAND VALUABLE
ITEMS WITH OWNER PRIOR TO ANY DEMOLITION WORK.

EXISTING LIGHT FIXTURES TO BE REMOVED. EXISTING
LOCATION TO BE PREPPED TO RECEIVE NEW.
GYPSUM CEILING TO BE PATCHED AND REPAIRED AS
REQUIRED, TYP.
2 REMOVE EXISTING LAMP AND TRIM. REUSE EXISTING
HOUSING FOR LED RETROFIT FIXTURE.
3 EXISTING TRUSSES TO REMAIN. CLEAN AND REPAIR
AS NEEDED. REFER TO INTERIOR ELEVATION FOR
DESIGN MODIFICATION. PROTECT DURING
CONSTRUCTION.
4 CONTRACTOR TO REMOVE EXISTING CEILING.
5 CONTRACTORTO REMOVE EXISTING VANITY SCONCE
FIXTURES IN THEIR ENTIRETY. PREPARE WALL TO
RECIEVE NEW FINISHES.
