1.Earth Exploration, Inc. (Earth) was on-site today at the request of Gibraltar Construction (Gibraltar) to
observe the construction activity being performed today at 116th street Carmel, Indiana.
2.Upon arrival at the project Earth observed Gibraltar placing what appeared to be No.53 crushed limestone
over the silty clay subgrade at the entrance of building connecting to 116th street.
3.Earth noted the silty clay subgrade could not fully be reviewed due to placing what appeared to be No.53
crushed limestone over the previously prepared subgrade area at the location noted above, However Earth
noted that Gibraltar informed Earth that the City Of Carmel (Inspector) previously performed a proof-roll
procedure and recommended approximately 12” under-cut be performed and placed geo grid due to what
appeared to be soft soil/subgrade condition and then approved the subgrade condition for that area as
noted above.
4.The results from today’s activities were communicated to representatives from Gibraltar. Please see the
attached photographs for additional information regarding the activities of the day.
