WOOLPERT 7635 Interactive Way, Suite 100 Indianapolis, IN 46278 RE: Belle Tire Docket No. 17100027 DP/ADLS Dear Mr. Nierzwicki: The revisions to construction plans and drainage calculations, dated June 14, 2018, for the referenced project, in response to our review letters dated December 5, 2017, March 6, 2018, and April 20, 2018 appear to be in compliance with the City of Carmel Stormwater Technical Standards Manual (STSM) contingent upon receiving the following variance requests: 1. The request for a variance, dated April 4, 2018, to Section 302.07 of the STSM, to allow for the minimum slopes for Structures 1.0, 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, and 4.0, to be less than capable of producing less than 2.5 feet per second. 2. The request for a variance, dated April 4, 2018, to Section 501.03 of the STSM, to not provide the 0.1 foot drop through manholes and inlets for Structures 1.0, 3.0, 3.1, 3.3, and 4.0 and 40. 3. The request for a variance, dated June 14, 2018, to Section 302.08.1 of the STSM, to allow for the minimum 1% bottom slope in all directions without a tile underdrain for the proposed dry basin. 4. The request for a variance, dated June 14, 2018, to Section 303.07 of the STSM, to allow for the minimum flood protection grade for the proposed building to be less than two feet above the adjacent 100-year local flood elevation for the site. ` There is no need for any additional review by this office for this project unless the current plans are revised. This letter does not exonerate your firm from implementing changes with respect to any and all review comments from the City of Carmel and/or the Hamilton County Surveyor’s Office. This letter is not your final acceptance by the City of Carmel nor is it the storm water permit approval. Please submit the most up to date plans, drainage report, O&M Manual to the City of Carmel Engineering Department for final review(s). The City will inform you of final submittals needed before the storm water permit can be issued. Once all other agency approvals are obtained, a .pdf of the final drainage report shall be supplied to the Carmel Engineering Department when the final construction sets of plans are submitted for stamped approval.
