HomeMy WebLinkAboutCode Enforcement Letter 03-27-19 i ::::i;;;I \ c�,�,R,T,k,,,MF� City o f Carmel TT, DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY SERVICES Division of Building and Code Enforcement March 27,2019 Todd&Diane Thorne 12022 Pebble Brook Ln Carmel,IN 46033 To whom it may concern: This letter is being provided to inform you that the property at: 12022 Pebble Brook Ln, a property listed under your ownership, is in violation of the following Carmel City and/or Zoning Code(s): (1) §5.27 Commercial Vehicle Standards: Commercial Vehicles or trailers shall not be parked, stored, maintained or kept on any residentially used or zoned lot unless the vehicle has a maximum load capacity of three-quarters (3/4) of a ton or less; and A: serves as the sole vehicular transportation of a resident of the property upon which it is partked, stored maintained or kept; or B: such vehicle is within a garage or carport which complies with all the standards and regulations of this ordinance. Failure to resolve the violation(s)within ten(10)calendar days from the date of this letter, will result in further Enforcement action by the City of Carmel to include City abatement (to which property owner is billed for contractor and administrative costs), and/or the issuance of daily citations as long as the violation(s) persist (which also requires a mandatory appearance in Carmel City Court). No Commercial Vehicle or Construction Vehicle of any length or weight shall be parked on any public property or right- of-way within the City for a period in excess of four ( 4) hours, unless used in conjunction with construction or delivery of goods to said property. 2. No Commercial Vehicle having an overall length in excess of twenty (20) feet, or any Semi -tractor, Semi -Tractor-Trailer, Semi -trailer, Trailer, or Construction Vehicle of any length or weight shall be parked on any public or private property or on any right-of-way abutting such property in any residential district, for a period in excess of four (4) hours, unless temporarily parked during the actual performance of a bona fide commercial service, construction, sales, or delivery to said property. 3. A Commercial Vehicle, which is not a Semi -tractor, Semi -Tractor-Trailer, Semi -trailer or Construction Vehicle, having an overall length of twenty (20) feet or less, may parked or stored outside on private property in a residential district subject to the following regulations: i. Only one such vehicle per family may be parked or stored on any lot containing the Dwelling of such family; ii. Such vehicle shall only be parked or stored on the Driveway or in the garage; iii. The Parking or storage of such vehicle shall be in full compliance with the requirements stated in Carmel City Code Chapter 10, Article 1, Chapter 25, and shall not preempt the use of space needed for the off- street parking of other vehicles; iv.
