I. THE DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED AS MUTUALLY EXPLANATORY AND
ANY WORK REQUIRED BY ONE BUT NOT THE OTHER WILL BE PERFORMED AS THOUGH REQUIRED
BY BOTH IN CASE OF CONFLICT BETWEEN THE DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS, THE ARCHITECT
WILL DETERMINE. LARGE SCALE DRAWINGS WILL TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER SMALLER PLANS OF
MINOR DETAIL.
2. DO NOT SCALE DRAWINGS VERIFY AND FOLLOW INDICATED DIMENSIONS. IN CASE OF 0I5-
GREPANCY, NOTIFY THE ARCHITECT FOR HI5 DEG1510K BEFORE PROGEEDIN6 WITH THE WORK.
THE DECISION OF THE ARCHITECT IN THE CASE OF A DISCREPANCY WILL BE FINAL.
3. THESE DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE INTENDED TO PROVIDE FOR A COMPLETE AND
FINISHED PIECE OF WORK, AND THE CONTRACTOR WILL NOT AVAIL TO OBVIOUS OR UNIN-
TENTIONAL ERROR OR OMISSION AND WILL INCLUDE IN THEIR BID, PROVISIONS FOR ALL, LABOR,
MATERIAL, AND SERVICES INCIDENTAL FOR A COMPLETE AND FINISHED BUILDING IN EVERY
RESPECT. THI5 DOES NOT IMPLY THAT THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE REQUIRED TO FURNISH LABOR
OR MATERIAL NOT OBVIOUSLY INTENDED, SHOWN OR CALLED FOR; HOWEVER, SHOULD HE BE61N
MICRO WHERE A DISCREPANCY EXISTS BETWEEN THE DRAWINGS SPECIFICATIONS AND FIELD

4. NO INTOXICATING BEVERAGES OR ILLE6AL SUBSTANCE WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE SITE OF THE
WORK, AND NO PERSON WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE SITE INTOXICATED OR UNDER THE INFLUENCE
OF INTOXICATING BEVERAGES OR ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE. FURTHERMORE, FROM THE TIME THAT
THE DRIED -IN BUILDING SHELL 15 COMPLETED, OR ENGL05ED FROM THE ELEMENTS, NO SMOKING
OR USE OF TOBACCO IN ANY FORM WILL BE ALLOWED INSIDE THE BUIL)IN6.
5. ALL MATERIALS STORED ON THE 51TE WILL BE ARRANGED AND MAINTAINED IN AN ORDERLY
MANNER 50 THAT THE USE OF WALKS, DRIVES, ROADS AND ENTRANCES REMAIN UNENCUMBERED.
6, CONTRACTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DE516N AND INSTALLATION, INCLUDING ALL
EQUIPMENT, MATERIAL, ACCESSORIES, TOOLS AND LABOR REQUIRED FOR THE COMPLETE
OPERATION OF THE WORK, IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE CODE REQUIREMENTS AND
MANUFACTURERS RECOMMENDATIONS.
1. IF THE CONTRACTOR A5GERTAIN5 AT ANY TIME THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE PRMIN65 OR
SPECIFICATION CONFLICT WITH OR ARE IN VIOLATION OF APPLICABLE LAW5, CODES, REGULA-
TIONS OR ORDINANCES THEY WILL NOT PROCEED WITH THE WORK IN QUESTION UNTIL THE
ARCHITECT HAS BEEN NOTIFIED IN WRITING AND A WRITTEN DETERMINATION 15 MADE BY THE
ARCHITECT. NO EXTRAS WILL BE ALLOWED TO MEET CODE REQUIREMENTS.
8. CONTRACTOR WILL PROVIDE ALL PERMITS AND ARRAN6E FOR IN5PECTIONS AS REQUIRED BY
THE CITY, COUNTY AND/OR STATE AUTHORITIES. FURNI5H CERTIFICATE OF FINAL INSPECTION
FROM THE LOCAL BUILDING INSPECTOR, INDICATING THAT THE INSTALLATION COMPLIES WITH
ALL 6OVERNIN6 REGULATIONS.
9. CONTRACTOR WILL BE PROPERLY LICENSED TO PERFORM WORK AT THE LOCATION OF THE
PROJECT AND WILL MAINTAIN ADEQUATE 5ERV16E FACILITIES LOCALLY. HE WILL PROVIDE
REFERENCES OF AT LEAST THREE 5AT15FAC.TORILY 60MPLEE) PROJEGT5 OF SIMILAR TYPE
AND SIZE TO THE OWNER.
10. CONTRACTOR WILL COORDINATE WORK 50 A5 TO CONFORM TO THE PROORE55 OF THE WORK
OF THE TRADES, FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE ENTIRE INSTALLATION AS 500N A5 THE
CONDITIONS OF THE BUILDING ALLOWS.
11. SHOP DRANIIN65 WILL BE SUBMITTED FOR ALL EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS WHICH MUST
INTERFACE AND COORDINATE WITH OTHERS. CONTRACTOR WILL SUBMIT 51X (6) GOPIE5 TO
THE ARCHITEGT FOR REVIEW,
12. UPON COMPLETION OF THE WORK, THE CONTRACTOR WILL LEAVE PROJECT IN A GLEAN AND
OPERATIONAL CONDITION.
13, CONTRACTOR WILL VERIFY AND COORDINATE ALL NEW AND OR EX15TINC CONDITIONS TO
INCLUDE DIMENSIONS AT THE JOB 51TE FOR COMPARISON WITH THE DRAWIN65 PRIOR TO
BIDDING THE PROJECT. SHOULD ANY DISCREPANCIES, INCONSISTENCIES OR OMISSIONS BE
FOUND THE ARCHITECT WILL BE NOTIFIED IN WRITING IMMEDIATELY FOR CLARIFICATION PRIOR
TO PROCEEDING WITH THE WORK.

COMMON USE NOTIFY THE ARCHITECT OF ANY ABBREVIATIONS IN QUESTION.
15, CONTRACTOR WILL COORDINATE THE INSTALLATION OF VARIOUS TRADE ITEMS WITHIN THE
SPACE ABOVE ALL CEILIN65, (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO STRUCTURAL MEMBERS, MECH-
ANICAL DUCTS, INSULATION, CONDUITS, RACEWAYS, SPRINKLER SYSTEM, LIGHT FIXTURES,
GEILIN6 SYSTEMS AND ANY SPECIAL STRUCTURAL SUPPORTS REQUIRED) AND WILL BE RE5PON-
51BLE FOR MAINTAINING THE FIN15H GEILIN6 HEIGHT ABOVE THE FINISH FLOOR INDICATED IN
THE DRAWINGS AND THE FINISH SCHEDULE. GEILIN6 HEIGHT DIMENSIONS ARE TO THE FINISH
SURFACE OF THE 6EILIN6.
16. ACCE55 PANELS WILL BE PROVIDED AND INSTALLED WHEREVER REQUIRED BY THE BUILDING
CODE OR FOR THE PROPER OPERATION OR MAINTENANCE OF MECHANICAL OR ELECTRICAL
EQUIPMENT WHETHER OR NOT INDICATED ON THE DRAKN65. CONTRACTOR WILL GOORDINATE
SIZE, LOCATION AND TYPE OF ACCESS PANEL WITH OTHER CONTRAGTOR5 WORK AND RECEIVE
THE APPROVAL OF THE ARCHITECT. ALL ACCESS PANELS SHALL MAINTAIN THE FIRE RATING
OF THE ASSEMBLY WHERE INSTALLED.
IT, DIMENSIONS SHOWN ON THE FLOOR PLANS, SECTIONS, ELEVATIONS AND DETAIL5 ARE TO FACE
OF STUD, MASONRY, CONCRETE OR STRUCTURAL GRID GENTERLINE5 UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
18. ALL DUCT PENETRATIONS THROUGH PARTITIONS AND CEILIN65 WILL BE PROVIDED WITH Ni
ESSARY FRAME5 AND BRACING AROUND THE OPENING AND WILL MAINTAIN THE FIRE ASSEMBLY
RATING OF THE WALL OR CEILING TO INCLUDE FIRE DAMPERS WHERE REQUIRED.
IT THE CIVIL, STRUCTURAL, MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING AND SHOP DRAWINGS ARE
SUPPLEMENTAL TO THE ARCHITECTURAL DRAWIN65 AND WILL BE COORDINATED BY THE CON-
TRACTOR. THE CONTRACTOR WILL COORDINATE ALL DRAWINGS AND 5PECIFICATION5 PRIOR TO
PROCEEDING WITH THE INSTALLATION OF ANY WORK, AND BRING ANY D156REPANGIE5 TO THE
ATTENTION OF THE ARCHITECT FOR CLARIFICATION.
20. IMPROPERLY INSTALLED WORK WILL BE CORRECTED BY THE CONTRACTOR AT HI5 EXPENSE
AND AT NO EXPENSE TO THE ARCHITECT, THE ARCHITECT5 CONSULTANT'S, THE CONSTRUCTION
MANAGER OR THE OWNER.
21, CONSULT THE ARCHITECT AND PROJECT STRUCTURAL ENGINEER IN ALL GASES WHEN CUI'TIN6
INTO AN EXISTIN6 OR NEW STRUCTURAL SYSTEM.

22. ALL EXIT DOORS WILL BE OPERABLE FROM INSIDE WITHOUT THE USE OF A KEY OR ANY
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE OR EFFORT AND WILL BE ACCESSIBLE TO THE HANDICAPPED.
23. THE MAXIMUM EFFORT TO OPERATE DOORS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE FOLLOWING REQUIREM-

26. IN THE EVENT THE UTILITY SERVICE 15 INTERRUPTED WITHOUT THE REQUIRED 48 HOUR
NOTICE THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE FINANCIALLY LIABLE FOR ALL DAMAGES SUFFERED BY
THE OMNER DUE TO UNAUTHORIZED INTERRUPTION. REONNECTION WILL BE MADE AS SOON
AS POSSIBLE.
21. WORK INSTALLED IN CONFLICT WITH THE DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS OR SHOP DRAWINGS
SHALL BE CORRECTED BY THE CONTRACTOR AT HIS EXPENSE AND NO ADDITIONAL EXPENSE
TO THE OI^NER OR THE ARCHITECT.
28, CONTRACTOR WILL PROTECT ALL FINISHED WORK AND SURFACES OF FINISHED WORK FROM
DAMAGE DURING THE COURSE OF CONSTRICTION AND WILL REPLACE AND OR REPAIR ALL
DAMAGED CAUSED BY THE CONTRACTOR TO THE 5AT15FAGTION OF THE OWNER AND
ARCHITECT.
29. 51ZE OF MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT PADS OR BASES SHALL BE VERIFIED WITH
EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER.
30. ALL BUILDING CONSTRUCTION WORK, MECHANICAL, AND ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS, AND
EQUIPMENT CONNECTIONS REQUIRED AS PART OF THIS PROJECT SHALL COMPLY WITH THE
STATE BUILDING RUMBA AND REC-0LATIONS, LOCAL ORDINANCES, AND ANY OTHER STATUTORY
PROVISIONS PERTAINING TO THIS 6LA55 TYPE OF WORK, ANY 5J6H RULES AND REGULATIONS

31, CONTRACTOR PERFORMING WORK ON THE PREMISES WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR INITIATING,
MAINTAINING AND 9UPERVI51146 A REASONABLE AND PRUDENT SAFETY PRO6RAM UNDER
APPLICABLE LAWS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE ISOLATION OF WORK AREAS AND THE
PROMPT REMOVAL OF DEBRIS OR TOOLS WHICH MIGHT ENDANGER HEALTH, SAFETY OR PELL-
FARE OF PERSONS.
32. CONTRACTOR WILL PROVIDE AND INSTALL ALL STIFFENERS, BRACING, BACKUP PLATES AND
SUPPORTING BRACKETS REQUIRED FOR THE INSTALLATION OF ALL GA5EHORK, TOILET
ACCESSORIES AND ALL FLOOR MOUNTED OR SUSPENDED MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL
EQUIPMENT.
33, CONTRACTOR WILL VERIFY THE LOCATION OF ALL EXISTING UTILITIES SELDOM OR ABOVE
GRADE AND COORDINATE RELATED 5ERVIGE CONNECTIONS WITH THE RESPECTIVE UTILITY
COMPANY,
34. CONTRACTOR WILL COORDINATE THE REMOVAL, ABANDONMENT, AND OR RELOCATION OF
EXISTING UTILITIES ABOVE OR BELOW GRADE WITH THE RESPECTIVE UTILITY COMPANY.
35. CONTRACTOR WILL PERFORM ALL THE WORK WITHIN RELIC RI6HT-OF-HAYS AGGORDIN6 TO
THE CITY JURISDICTION FOR STANDARD PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS CONTRACTOR WILL
OBTAIN PERMITS FROM APPROPRIATE AGENCIES.

31. CONTRACTOR WILL PROVIDE ONE COMPLETE SET OF A5-BUILT DRAWINGS INDICATING ALL
DISCREPANCIES OR CHANGES FROM ORIGINAL DESIGN DOCUMENTS INDICATING ACTUAL
LOCATIONS OF CONGEALED WORK TO THE ARCHITECT AT THE COMPLETION OF WORK AND
PRIOR TO FINAL PAYMENT.
38. DRAWINGS OF EXISTING 51TE OR BUILDING CONDITIONS HAVE BEEN COMPILED FROM EXISTING
DATA SUPPLIED BY OTHERS TO THE ARCHITECT. THE ARCHITECT MAKES NO WARRANTY
EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED FOR THE ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF THE EXISTING
INFORMATION RECORDED. CONTRACTOR WILL FIELD VERIFY ALL EXISTING CONDITIONS.
