There has been a complaint in regards to the Box Truck parked in our driveway. This Box Truck has been parked in our driveway for 9 years. The measurements of the Box Truck are: 29' 6" in length and 10' 10" height. The truck is used daily to operate my business Monday thru Friday. Each day I drive to the Automotive Businesses that are located in my route. This truck holds all the Inventory for my business. The truck is like a "store" on wheels. ( Please see the attached picture). The value of the truck and Inventory exceeds $200,000. Keeping the truck at my home gives me security. Parking the truck somewhere else is not safe and it would create a hardship. Each night I restock, clean and prepare for the next day. Being able to be home to finish my day is like taking your laptop home to finish your day. The Ordinance states that Commercial Vehicles shall be parked or stored in a garage or carport. We do not have garage or carport that will accommodate the box truck. I have attached a picture of where the truck is parked nightly. At this time we are financially unable to build a garage to accommodate the truck. In the past 6 months we have planted 4 trees. We had a large old wild cherry uproot a couple of weeks ago. This leaves the opportunity to plant more trees. We are also willing to add a privacy fence. I have attached a notification map of our adjoining Neighbors and their letters of support. The complaint submitted about the box truck also stated the reverse "beeping" sound was a concern. I have had a switch installed which enables me to turn off the "beeping" sound while reversing in my driveway. I have included several pictures. The first 3 pictures are the view from our neighbors driveway. The rest of the pictures are the view from the street as you pass our home. The last photo is the aerial view of our home as well as the Woods home to the left and the Williams home to the right. Lastly, I have included a copy of our latest neighborhood news letter. ( Northwood Hills). I have under lined in the first paragraph the statement that our Neighborhood has no mandatory rules. Thank you for your consideration. The front of my home directly faces their home, so had there been any issues, caused by the vehicle, I would be in full view it. However, there have been no issues. Their home, yard, and even their vehicles are immaculately clean and well maintained. We are voluntary which means no mandatory rules or dues. We will collect Hills we won't do a payment plan. This HOA isn't empowered to do this nor do we want that. Like the rest of the citye of Carmel g countable to city codes&ordinances. So if you see a property where trash has piled up, or leaves are bulrnin or grass needs mowed it's the city's responsibility to oversee these issues. g This HOA is about as laid back as it gets.
