I have issued the Plan Commission Docket Number for Avid Hotel (DP/ADLS/V). It is the following:

Docket No. 19050015 V: UDO Section 5.07 (D)(3) – Meridian Corridor Architectural Standards, Massing requiring two
principal buildings on a lot with over 300’ in width, requesting one principal building.
The applicant seeks site plan and design approval for a new hotel (102 rooms) and mixed use building (up to 7 first floor
tenants) on 1.23 acres. The building will be 50,286 sq. ft., 4 stories/155’ tall, and will have 97+ parking spaces provided
(shared parking with CMC Office). The site is located at about approximately 13300 N. Illinois Street (NW corner of Main
Street and US 31). The site is zoned MC/Meridian Corridor and is not within any overlay zone. Filed by Jim Shinaver and

Petitioner, please note the following:
1. This item will be on the Wednesday, June 19, 2019 (COMPLETE) meeting agenda of the Technical Advisory
Committee (TAC), which begins at 9:00 AM. Petitioner, please have a representative attend this meeting. For
your reference, here is a link to the current TAC members list.
2. Mailed and Published Public Notice needs to occur no later than Tuesday, June 25, 2019. Due to the site’s
location, published notice (legal ad) is required within The Current in Carmel. (COMPLETE)
a. Please contact The Current in Carmel at least 11 days prior to the public notice deadline in order for
them to publish your legal ad on time (317-489-4444 or legals@youarecurrent.com).
b. The placement of a notice of public hearing sign on the property is required.
c. First class mailings (with Certificate of Mailing) to all adjoiners is required. Contact the Hamilton County
Transfer and Mapping Office for the list of adjoining properties. Please note that the list of adjoining
properties must not be obtained sooner than 45 days prior (Sat., June 1) to the public hearing.

d. Make sure the public notice meeting time to the newspaper, public notice sign, and letters to neighbors

reads 6:00 PM and that the location reads Carmel City Hall Council Chambers, 1 Civic Square, 2 Floor,
Carmel, IN 46032.
3. The Filing Fee and 9 Informational Packets must be delivered to Plan Commission Secretary Joe Shestak no later
than Noon, Friday, July 5, 2019. Checks can be made out to The City of Carmel.
4. Proof of Notice (Certificates of Mailing, newspaper affidavit, etc.) needs to be received by this Department no
later than Noon, Thursday, July 11, 2019. Failure to submit Proof of Notice by this time will result in the tabling
of the petition.
5. This item will appear on the Tuesday, July 16, 2019 meeting agenda of the Plan Commission as a Combo
Committee item (under “Public Hearings”), which begins at 6 PM in the Council Chambers of City Hall. (A
representative must be present.)
6. This item will also appear on the Tuesday, August 6, 2019 meeting agenda of a Plan Commission Sub-
Committee, which begins at 6 PM in the Caucus Rooms of City Hall. (A representative must be present.)
7. Please refer to the application/checklist for more detail.
8. Review comments from the Planning/Zoning Dept. will be issued soon via ProjectDox.
