ORDINANCE Z-641-19
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA
Rezoning 3 parcels located at 1040, 1112 and 1118 S. Range Line Road from the
B3/Business District within the Range Line Overlay to the Cl/City Center District
Synopsis:
This ordinance rezones 3 parcels located at 1040, 1112 and 1118 S. Range Line Road to the Cl/City Center
District for the purpose of facilitating the ongoing redevelopment efforts of the City Center area extending
southward to Carmel Drive.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-4, the Common Council has lawfully adopted a unified
development ordinance, the terms of which are applicable to the geographic area consisting of the
incorporated area of the City of Carmel, Indiana, which unified development ordinance has been codified in
Chapter 10 of the Cannel City Code; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-4-602 the Common Council is authorized to amend the
map that is part of the unified development ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Cannel Advisory Plan Commission gave a favorable recommendation on Tuesday,
March 19, 2019, to Docket No. 19020005 Z regarding the rezoning of 1040, 1112 and 1118 S. Range Line
Road, described and illustrated in Exhibit A, which is incorporated herein by this reference (the "Real
Property Parcels").
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana,
that:
Section I: That the Official Zoning Map accompanying and made part of the Unified
Development Ordinance is hereby changed to designate the Real Property Parcels
from the B3/Business District within the Range Line Overlay to the Cl/City Center
District.
Section II: All prior Ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with any provision of this Ordinance
are hereby repealed.
Section III: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and signing
by the Mayor.
