ALL EROSION CONTROL PRACTICES SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INDIANA HANDBOOK FOR EROSION
CONTROL IN DEVELOPING AREAS FROM THE DIVISION OF SOIL CONSERVATION, INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF
NATURAL RESOURCES. NO LAND CLEARING OR GRADING SHALL BEGIN UNTIL ALL REQUIRED EROSION CONTROL
MEASURES HAVE BEEN INSTALLED.
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL STRICTLY ADHERE TO THE STORM WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION PUN DURING
CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTROL WASTE. GARBAGE, DEBRIS, WASTEWATER, AND
OTHER SUBSTANCES ON THE SITE IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY SHALL NOT BE TRANSPORTED FROM THE SITE
BY THE ACTION OF WINDS, STORM WATER RUNOFF, OR OTHER FORCES. PROPER DISPOSAL OR MANAGEMENT
OF ALL WASTES AND UNUSED BUILDING MATERIALS, APPROPRIATE TO THE NATURE OF THE WASTE OR MATERIAL,
IS REQUIRED.
THIS EROSION CONTROL PLAN SHALL BE IMPLEMENTED ON ALL DISTURBED AREAS WITHIN THE CONSTRUCTION
SITE. ALL MEASURES INVOLVING EROSION CONTROL PRACTICES SHALL BE INSTALLED UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF
QUALIFIED PERSONNEL EXPERIENCED IN EROSION CONTROL AND FOLLOWING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
INCLUDED HEREIN. THIS PLAN SHALL NOT BE CONSIDERED ALL INCLUSIVE AS THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR

6. SOILS MAP OF THE PREDOMINANT SOIL TYPES INCLUDING:
SOIL INFORMATION FROM THE HAMILTON COUNTY SOIL SURVEY IS ON SHEET C500. THE SITE HAS CROSBY
SILT LOAM AND BROOKSTON SILTY CLAY. CROSBY SILT LOAM IS A HYDROLOGIC GROUP C SOIL WITH
VERY LOW CHANCE OF FLOODING OR PONDING. BROOKSTON SILTY CUY IS A HYDROLOGICAL GROUP B
SOIL WIN A VERY LOW CHANCE OF FLOODING BUT WITH FREQUENT PONDING.
THE SUITABILITY OF THE SOIL FOR SMALL COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS IS VERY LIMITED. THE ON -SITE SOIL
WILL BE TREATED AS RECOMMENDED BY THE GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER IF THE CONDITIONS ARE UNSUITABLE

MONITORING AND MAINTENANCE GUIDELINES FOR TEMPORARY STORMWATER QUALITY MEASURES
SEDIMENT AND EROSION CONTROL MEASURES SHALL BE INSPECTED AT LEAST ONCE EVERY SEVEN (])
DAYS AND WITHIN 24 HOURS OF A RAINFALL EXCEEDING 0.5 INCHES DURING A 24-HOUR PERIOD OR
MORE FREQUENTLY IF REQUIRED BY GOVERNING NPDES GENERAL PERMIT. ALL MAINTENANCE REQUIRED BY
INSPECTION SHALL COMMENCE WITHIN 24 HOURS AND BE COMPLETED WITHIN 48 HOURS OF REPORT.
ADDITIONAL EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES SHALL BE INSTALLED IF DEEMED NECESSARY BY
ON SITE INSPECTION.
INSPECTIONS SHALL BE CONDUCTED AND A WRITTEN REPORT SHALL BE PREPARED BY A DESIGNATED AND
QUALIFIED PERSON WHO IS FAMILIAR WITH THE USEPA NDPES STORMWATER GENERAL PERMIT, THE SWPPP,
AND THE PROJECT.
INSPECTION REPORTS SHALL BE STATE THE SCOPE OF THE INSPECTION, NAME(S) OF QUALIFIED
PERSONNEL WHO PERFORMED THE INSPECTION, THE DATE OF THE INSPECTION, OBSERVATIONS REUTING TO
THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SWPPP, AND ACTIONS TAKEN IN REGARDS TO INCIDENTS OF NONCOMPLIANCE
DURING THE INSPECTION.
UPON COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT, AS -BUILT DRAWINGS ALONG WITH A COPY OF THE MAINTENANCE
REPORT SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE HAMILTON COUNTY DRAINAGE BOARD. THE HAMILTON COUNTY
DRAINAGE BOARD SHALL NOT APPROVE FUTURE IMPROVEMENTS ON THE SITE UNTIL AS -BUILT DRAWINGS
ARE SUBMITTED. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL KEEP A COPY OF Al__. THE INSPECTION REPORTS ON SITE AND

RAIN GARDENS ARE DESIGNED TO PROMOTE INFILTRATION INTO THE SOIL, REDUCE SEDIMENT RUNOFF, AND

SITE. THE USE OF OILS AND OTHER PETROLEUM BASED OR TOXIC LIQUIDS FOR DUST SUPPRESSION IS
PROHIBITED. SOIL ROUGHENING TO PRODUCE 6'i HEIGHT PERPENDICULAR TO PREVAILING WIND AND/OR
COVERING 30R MINIMUM OF THE SOIL SURFACE WITH NON -ERODIBLE MATERIAL MAY ALSO BE USED TO
MINIMIZE WIND EROSION. AFTER CONSTRUCTION, THE SITE SHOULD BE STABILIZED TO REDUCE DUST.
CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC SHOULD ENTER AND EXIT THE SITE AT A CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE WITH A ROCK
PAD OR EQUIVALENT DEVICE. THE PURPOSE OF THE ROCK PAD IS TO MINIMIZE THE AMOUNT OF SOIL
