HomeMy WebLinkAboutDeck Pergola-additionalDeck Extension (7’x19’) & Covered structure/Pergola (12’x14’) · Remove existing deck handrail and handrail post · Remove stair and stair rail · Remove any deck boards needed to add deck extension and dig for roof posts · Frame for 7'x19 deck extension off the right side of the deck. Frame. to be installed at the same height as the existing deck (24 inches off ground) · It will go 7' toward the window and 19' out. · Set (4) 6x6 post for 12'x14' lean-to style shingled roof. Existing deck boards will be removed in order to dig and set inside corner of roof post. · Install new decking to extension and where existing decking was removed. · Install new 4x4s for the new handrail. Approximately 49 linear ft of handrail will go around the perimeter of the deck with (2) 3' openings out from the house for step/box steps. One located on the of the new extension and one on the existing side of the deck where the house and deck meet. · Attached (2) 2x8 double beams to support post for the roof. Frame roof with a minimum of 2/12 slope (2inch of rise for every 12inch of the run) 2x6 tongue and groove attached to the top of roof joist to finish off the underside of the roof and use a nailer for shingles. Ice and Water shield underlayment installed on top of the roof. Aluminum drip edge installed on the outside edge of the roof. · 3 tab style shingles nailed to the roof. · Gutter installed on the low side of the roof with downspout going down outside corner post. · Add frame to the deck for verticle deck board skirting 06/21/19 Mike Sheeks
