These additional amounts are designed to accommodate a contractor’s minimum fee for coming to your property and completing all or part of the repairs included in this estimate. In situations where an average contractor’s minimum fee has been met or exceeded in the scope of repairs in the above estimate, the “Labor Minimums Applied” section may not be present. Important Please Read This Document to Assist You in Understanding the Estimate What is Replacement Cost Value (RCV)? Replacement cost is the cost to repair or replace the damaged item with an item of like kind and quality, without deduction for depreciation. What is Actual Cash Value (ACV)? Actual cash value is based on the cost to repair or replace the damaged item with an item of like kind and quality, less depreciation. What is depreciation? Depreciation is the amount deducted from the replacement cost based upon the age and condition of the item being replaced. In other words, it is the difference between RCV and ACV. 21 American Family Mutual Insurance Company, S.I. DANIEL SANDERS AND ASHLEY SANDERS 01001469310 5/10/2019 Page: 21 What is a deductible? For each loss, the amount you chose to be your responsibility before your policy coverage begins to pay. How am I reimbursed? Reimbursement for repair or replacement of covered damaged items will be in the form of one or more payments depending on your policy. The actual cash value payment is for the full cost of the repair or the actual cash value of the replacement, whichever is less. Your policy may have replacement cost coverage on the structure and/or personal property. If so, a "recoverable depreciation” amount will be listed on the estimate. This amount may be claimed upon completion of the work or upon replacement of the items. You must have the item(s) replaced or repaired within the time limit identified in your policy – please refer to your policy language. If you spend less on the items than what is listed on the estimate under the Replacement Cost Total column, your depreciation payment will be adjusted and will reflect the amount you actually spent to replace the items. If you spend more on the items and purchase an upgrade, the cost above the estimate amount will be your responsibility. Where do I send the repair bills or replacement receipts? Please include your name, phone number and claim number with all documents and send to: Mail: American Family Insurance Attn: Scanning Center 6000 American Parkway Madison, WI 53783 Fax: 866-585-2786 Cell: 614-372-9986 Email:dtheriau@amfam.com or Email: scanmail@amfam.com What advice do you have for locating a reliable contractor? As the owner, you are always in control of the work being completed on your property. It is critical to select a reputable contractor. Ask for references and make sure the contractor is insured and bonded. Before repairs are started, present a copy of your American Family estimate to your contractor for agreement. What if my contractor ’ s estimate is different from this estimate? In most cases, your contractor will work off of this estimate. If there are differences, we will review and work to resolve them with you and your contractor. Should you choose to proceed with the repairs before contacting us to resolve any differences, you may jeopardize your right to collect additional monies. Why is my mortgage company listed on the payment? An insurance policy is a contract with you, us, and any named interests (generally mortgage lenders) listed on the policy. We are required through the terms of this policy to protect their interests as well. Please contact your mortgage company to obtain the steps required to process the payment. These steps can vary dependent upon the size of the payment and differing procedures of each lender. Will I receive a survey about my claims experience? After your claim is closed, you may receive a survey on your recent claims experience. The survey will ask you to grade us on particular issues. We strive for exceptional ratings. If you experienced anything less than exceptional, please let us know. This FAQ does not modify your policy language, please refer directly to your policy for specific rights, terms and cond itions or contact your adjuster. 22DANIEL SANDERS AND ASHLEY SANDERS010014693105/10/2019Page: 22SKETCH1 - CrawlspaceCrawlspaceCrawlspace25' 4"26'24' 5"25' 1"48' 2"48' 10"10"10"24' 6"25' 2"23' 9"23' 9" 23DANIEL SANDERS AND ASHLEY SANDERS010014693105/10/2019Page: 23SKETCH1 - Main LevelGarageBedroom # 1Closet (1)StairwayBathroom/Laundry RoomLiving RoomLinen Closet (2)SunroomCloset (1)KitchenFoyer/EntryCloset (1)OfficePorchArea of Damage from Car ImpactMain Level25' 2"25' 10"19' 11"20' 3"11' 7"12' 1"12' 7"5'5'12' 3"12' 1"3' 10"9'2' 5"2' 1"2' 11"2' 5"9' 7"44' 6"8' 8"21' 7"22' 1"14'14' 4"12' 11"12' 9"3' 5"3' 2"1' 11"1' 5"5' 1"2' 6"3'20' 6"24' 5"9' 10"10'10' 8"10' 4"2' 10"10' 10"23' 4"23' 8"2' 8"12' 3"6"21' 6"8"5' 6"8' 7"6' 6"6' 4"3' 1"15' 7"15' 11"3' 1"4' 7"12'12' 6"4' 10"5' 2"15' 11"15' 9"2' 3"2' 3"2' 2"7' 7"7' 3"10" 24DANIEL SANDERS AND ASHLEY SANDERS010014693105/10/2019Page: 24SKETCH1 - 2nd FloorLinen Closet (1)Closet (1)Bedroom # 3BathroomMaster BedroomBedroom # 2StairwayHallwayCloset2 (1)Closet1 (1)Master Bath2nd Floor5' 1"5' 7"2' 3"6' 8"12' 11"13' 5"5' 3"2' 5"9' 4"2' 5"2' 1"2' 7"4' 7"5' 1"13' 8"14' 2"8' 10"1' 1"11"10' 11"11' 5"11' 1"11' 7"4' 4"4' 6"3' 5"3' 5"7' 5"7' 7"9' 10"6'6' 2"2' 8"2' 10"6' 6"3'1' 11"2' 11"2' 11"2' 1"2' 5"4' 9"3' 10"3' 8"9' 7"10' 1" 25DANIEL SANDERS AND ASHLEY SANDERS010014693105/10/2019Page: 25Source - Geomni Roof - Source - Geomni RoofL (2)(A)F5(B)F6J (3)(A)F11(B)F12(D)F13R (1)(A)F14(B)F15(C)F16Dwelling Roof(A)F7(B)F8(C)F9(D)F10Source - Geomni Roof19' 11"14' 1"13' 5"14' 1"13' 5"26' 9"24' 11"14' 2"13' 5"14' 2"13' 5"11' 6"26' 11"19' 7"22' 10"9' 5"19' 7"30' 8"14' 2"13' 5"14' 2"13' 5"3' 10"19' 6"19' 6"
