John Ramsbottom Brookshire Village Architectural Committee From: Dennis Coverdale [mailto:dcover213@gmail.com] Sent: Tuesday, June 18, 2019 9:21 AM To: donald pickett Cc: Ken McGinity; Donald Flanagan; John Home Subject: Re: I messed up Hello Gentlemen, For clarification, although we plan to paint our house, the current siding will remain as is.  What's new is the small gabled roof extension over the front door.  The very small amount of siding on that extension is proposed to be wood shingles that will be painted to match the rest of the house.  The extension will require two new posts to be placed within a few inches out from the current porch slab.  Accordingly to our builder, who has checked with the city, the placement of these new posts fall within current guidelines.  FYI, we are not proposing to increase the size of the front porch slab.  The sole purpose of this remodel is simply to dress up the front of the house to be more on par with many others in the neighborhood.     If it would be easier to discuss in person and see where the posts will be located or address any other questions, I am available almost anytime.  Thanks, Dennis Coverdale  On Mon, Jun 17, 2019 at 5:21 PM donald pickett <pickettdonald@att.net> wrote: John - I have trouble trying to see what it is he is doing. Here's the correct version. Also, I failed to mention that the siding is wooden shingles that would be painted to match the rest of the house. Our contractor has indicated that he usually has a written statement of approval from the HOA as he applies for the city building permit. Is that in alignment with how things are done here?
