Hi Ron....the HOA has approved the project. Will the email that I have forwarded below
work for written documentation as you apply for the city permit?
Thanks,
Dennis

Dennis,
The Architectural Committee of the Brookshire Village HOA has reviewed and approved the plans for
the changes to the front of your home. Thank you for providing the plans for us to review.

Hello Gentlemen,
For clarification, although we plan to paint our house, the current siding will remain as is.
What's new is the small gabled roof extension over the front door. The very small amount
of siding on that extension is proposed to be wood shingles that will be painted to match
the rest of the house. The extension will require two new posts to be placed within a few
inches out from the current porch slab. Accordingly to our builder, who has checked with
the city, the placement of these new posts fall within current guidelines. FYI, we are not
proposing to increase the size of the front porch slab. The sole purpose of this remodel is
simply to dress up the front of the house to be more on par with many others in the
neighborhood.
If it would be easier to discuss in person and see where the posts will be located or address
any other questions, I am available almost anytime.
Thanks,
Dennis Coverdale

John - I have trouble trying to see what it is he is doing. Is he re-siding
the entire house, and if so, with what material? If it all blends in with
the (your) neighborhood, I see no problem with it. Don

Hi John....as a follow-up to the previous email I sent today, I attached the wrong pdf. Here's the
correct version. Also, I failed to mention that the siding is wooden shingles that would be painted to
match the rest of the house.
Our contractor has indicated that he usually has a written statement of approval from the HOA as he
applies for the city building permit. Is that in alignment with how things are done here?
Thanks,
Dennis
