I. The heating, air conditioning equipment and Installation shall
conform to all current Notional, State and Local Codes.
2. The Mechanical Contractor to clearly label each unit by area
served using I" stencil or engraved plastic.
5. The Mechanical Contractor shall coordinate supply all and
return air ducts with General Contractor so duct encasements
may be Installed at the proper locations, as not to affect the
structural system of the building.
4. The Mechanical Contractor is to coordinate gas piping with
Plumbing Contractor to assure correct size and final locations
of the units, and piping servicing the units. Piping in attic, to be
suspended from trusses a minimum of 12" above insulation for
proper leak test and future service and inspection. The M.G.
to verify all aspects of gas service with local utility.
5. The Mechanical Contractor shall be responsible for pouring
concrete pad for units. Units to be 50" clear of butlding or
at manufacturer's recommendations, which ever Is greater.
6. The Mechanical Contractor shall coordinate all electrical
requirements of all units with the Electrical Contractor to
assure final correct locations of the Unit's disconnects.
All equipment to be provided with Internal fuse protection,
per NEC., State and local Codes.
1. All Exhaust Fans and Ventilators shall have back draft dampers.
Units provided and installed by the Mechanical Contractor, power
and wiring by the Electrical Contractor.
Z. Ductwork sholl be Insulated. See Ductwork 6eneral Notes.
9. The Mechanical Contractor to provide 5/4" PVC condensate drains
with slope to positive drainage outside of building. Provide sheet
metal auxiliary drain pan, at attic units, 2" deep under each cooling
toll. Provide 3/4" condensate drain separated from cooling toll
all Slope to positive drain with straps at 48" o.c. to avoid
sagging of lines. Pitch auxiliary drain pans and cooling coils slightly
In direction of condensate flow.
10. The Mechanical Contractor shall install fire dampers in all ducts
passing through Fire Rated Walls and Ceilings Cd_roteo ac 'F. on
t,x,e Lra:apro=i and all other locations specified by the State Fire
Marshall or Authority Having Jurisdiction.
11. Mechanical equipment shall be casts bid as 5m power supply.
Mechanical contractor shall be responsible For verifying available
power supply prior to ordering and installing equipment.
12. The Mechanical Contractor to provide and Install specified
control devices and Low Voltage Wiring. Thermostats to be
Fully Programmable -I Day. Provide "tamperproof" Covers with
lock for all thermostats.
15, Fresh / Outside Air shall conform to ASHRAE 62 'Ventilation
for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality" and all State and Local Codes.
14. 5.E.E.R. / E.E.R. - as rated In accordance with U.S. Government
D.O.E. Test procedure and A.R.I. Standard 210-19.
15. AP.U.E. - Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency as established by
U.S. Government Standard D.O.E. Test.
16. The Mechanical contractor shall provide Balancing Report prior
to final occupancy.
THESE NOTES SHALL APPLY UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED BY DRANIN65
OR SPECIFICATIONS.
I Duct dimensions are shown as clear inside dimensions. Where Internal
insulation is called for, dimensions shall be increased by the thickness
of Insulation.
2 Portions of ducts visible throwgh diffusers, grilles and registers In
Finished areas shall be painted flat black.
5 Coordinate exact locations of all ceiling diffusers, registers and
exhaust grilles, ductwork, etc. with lighting laout, reflected telling plan
and owners layout, so they will remain unolceXucted.
4 Coordinate all duct penetrations with Structural Drowings.
5 Supply and return ducts shall be sheet metal with I" thick internal
acoustical lining.

Wrap all supply and return ductwork with 2" thick, 3/4 It. density foil
faced insulation.

Where applicable, Owens Corning I" Hbergloss duct board.
6 All ductwork shall be fabricated and Installed In accordance with
SMACNA Duct Manual and NFPA qC-A.
9 Flexible ductwork not to exceed 6'. When longer runs occur, use 28 So.
round ductwork to obtain required lengths.
8 Provide flexible connection where supply and return air ducts connect
to unit.
9 Ductwork openings shall be coordinated with MEN For Installation by this
Contractor. The M.G. to provide ductwork for exterior, Insulated and
wtsother-protected and install return air ductwork as required.
10 These drawingqs indicate duct for size and approximate location. Ducts
may need to 6e moved slightly to insure no obstruction in installation.
