HomeMy WebLinkAboutPump house cut fill doc/ Hi Jeff, It looks like the project sits between the 746 and 747 contour, which looks pretty accurate based on the site visit.  I would recommend setting your benchmark or your “0” elevation where the 746 contour meets the edge of the paved road and you can extrapolate from there.  It looks like the 500 year floodplain is mapped at about the 748 contour.  So, if you are installing a 16x20 structure (320 square feet), you will be removing 2 ft of floodplain storage x 320 square feet, or 640 cubic feet or 22.963 yd³ of storage from the floodplain.  So your cut location, should remove an area of 640 cubic feet or about 23 yd³  below the 748 contour.  Sincerely,   John Thomas, CPESC, CMS4S Storm Water Administrator City of Carmel Engineering Department (p) 317-571-2314 (f)  317-571-2439 / / /
