1. ALL WORK IS TO BE COMPLETED IN STRICT ACCORDANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE CODES, ORDINANCES, RULES,
REGULATIONS, AND STANDARDS, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: THE INDIANA BUILDING CODE, THE INDIANA CODES, THE
INDIANA FIRE CODES, THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT (ADA), UNIVERSAL BUILDING CODE, AND APPLICABLE TRADE
STANDARDS. ALL APPLICABLE RULES AND REGULATIONS ARE TO BE THE MOST CURRENT ADOPTED EDITIONS.
2. THE ERRORS AND OMISSIONS DESIGN LIABILITY FOR THE PROJECT SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE DESIGN COST OF
CORRECTING THE DEFICIENCY
3. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING ALL STATE AND LOCAL PERMITS REQUIRED FOR COMPLETION OF THIS
PROJECT..
4. DO NOT SCALE DRAWINGS.
5. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VISIT THE SITE AND VERIFY ALL CONDITIONS PRIOR TO COMMENCING WORK. ANY
DISCREPANCIES SHALL BE REPORTED TO THE designer. ANY ERRORS AND/OR OMISSIONS SHALL BE NOTED AND SENT
TO THE OWNER and design team PRIOR TO STARTING THAT PORTION OF WORK AND WITH ADEQUATE TIME TO REVIEW
AND RESPOND.
6. DURING THE ENTIRE PERIOD OF DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION, ALL EXISTING EXITS SHALL BE CONTINUOUSLY
MAINTAINED.
7. ALL METAL FASTENERS AND OTHER METAL ITEMS IN CONTACT WITH CONCRETE, MASONRY OR SOIL TO BE GALVANIZED.
8. ALL WOOD EXPOSED TO MASONRY, CONCRETE OR EXPOSED SOIL TO BE PRESERVATIVE PRESSURE TREATED.
9. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE TO PROTECT EXISTING STRUCTURE, MEP SYSTEMS UNLESS REQUIRED.
10. REPAIR, PATCH AND PAINT ALL CONSTRUCTION DAMAGE TO MATCH EXISTING FINISHES.
11. WATER-RESISTANT GYP. BD. SHALL BE USED AT ALL WET LOCATIONS. CEMENT BOARD WITH WATERPROOF MEMBRANE
SHALL BE USED AS TILE BACKER BOARD.
12. ALL DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS PROVIDED ARE CONSIDERED TO BE COMPLIMENTARY. ITEMS SHOWN IN ONE
LOCATION IN THE DRAWINGS OR INCLUDED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS SHALL BE CONSIDERED PART OF THE WORK AND
SHALL APPLY AT SIMILAR LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE PROJECT. IN THE EVENT OF INCONSISTENCIES BETWEEN THE
DRAWINGS PROVIDED BY THE VARIOUS INVOLVED DISCIPLINES, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SEEK CLARIFICATION OR
INTERPRETATION FROM THE OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE PRIOR TO THE WORK. WHERE INCONSISTENCIES ARE NOT
CLARIFIED PRIOR TO BIDDING, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE THE GREATER QUALITY OF WORK AS DETERMINED BY
THE OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE.
