GENERAL NOTES - CONSTRUCTION
A. REFERTO GENERAL NOTES AND REFERENCE SPECIeCA➢ONS ON SHEETA001&A021
FOR SPECIFICATIONS REGARDING NEW CONSTRUCTION AND HNISHES.
B. Refer to Reflected Ceiling Plans (A22 Series Sheeh) for ceiling heights unless otherwise
Indicated.
C. Refer to Electrical Location Plans (A23 Series Sheets) for additional Miscellaneous
Specialties & Equipment items that may not be indicated on this sheet.
D. Refer to Finish Plan and Finish Notes (A24 Series Sheets) for wall base type and ceiling
types.
E. Refer to top of wall condition details, this sheet, for additional information regarding
wall heights and termination.
F. Provide air -fight acoustical and/or fireratedsealant around perimeter of all wall types
with acoustical insulation.
G. All joints and penetrations of fire rated assemblies to be sealed with approved U.L.
listed "F" and 'T'systems. Submit product data and installation information prior to
Installation for Architect's approval. Label/identify fire rated partitions for future
reference on each side of wall above ceiling, concealed from view. Note the UL
assembly designation with 6" red stenciled letters
H. Dimensions are taken from the face of masonry walls, cdumn centerlines, finish face of
existing walls and/or stud face of new walls unless otherwise indicated.
J. Verify all critical dimensions within and/or related to the existing building. Dimensions
and conditions indicated were determined by visual survey and/or information from
existing drawings.
K. +/- Dimension is equal to verify in field.
L. Plans are not to be scaled for finish or wall information. Contractor to contact
Architect for any questions or clarifications on plan dimensions.
M. Walls behind and directly adjacent to all toilet room fixtures (lavatories, toilets and
urinals) shall have a smooth, hard, non-absorbant surface. Partitions in these areas
shall be constructed with cement board or moisture resistant gypsum board in lieu of
gypsum wall board and/or finished with an epoxy paint. Toilet room accessories (grab
bars, toilet paper dispensers, etc.) in these areas shall be installed and sealed to
prevent moisture penetration.
N. Provide he backer board at locations to receive wall file. Refer to the Finish Plan sheet
A204 for locations,
P. Contractor shall verify the size and location of all required mechanical pads and wall
openings.
O. All walls shall be type "Mi unless otherwise noted.
R. ADD ALL NO.I: New plastic laminate casework. Upper and lower cabinet with 25"D
plastic laminate counnertop. Countertop to include 4"H plastic laminate back and
side splash. Upper cabinets to include two height adjustable shelves and white
melamine interior. Base cabinets to include a 6"H drawer and double doors with a
height adjustable shelf and a white melamine interior. Two duplex and one
phone/data outlets installed above the countertop.
S. ADD ALT. NO.3: Provide pocket door at Door 203. Reuse existing door panel if
possible. BASE BID: typical swing hinge on Door 203, swing into room 202 against wall.
T. ADD ALT, NOA: Provide water line, drain pipe and dad ictoed power for dishwasher
hook-up. Dishwasher and dishwasher cabinet to be provided and installed by the
tenant.
U. ADD ALT. NO.5: Install new vertical blinds to match existing in rooms 201 and 217.
BASE BID: Remove existing vertical blinds and salvage for reuse. Retrofit existing blinds
and hardware to accomodate new rooms 201 and 217. DEDUCT ALL: Remove vertical
blinds completey, patch and repair bulkhead to like new condition. Confirm with
tenant prior to any work.
