REFER TO GENERAL NOTES AND REFER ENCESPEC I FI CAT GINS ON SHEEPA001bA021 FOR SPECIFICATIONS REGARDING NEW CONSTRUCTION AND FINISHES, B. Refer to Construction Hoor Plans jA21 Series Sheets) for typical wall types (walls to deck, rated walls, etc.) and additional wall-toceiling design conditions and considerations. C. Refer to Finish Plan and Finish Notes jA24 Series Sheets) for specifsceiing types and materials. D. The architectural reflected ceiling plan shall govern the layout of all ceiling elements and/or penetrations. If applicable, coordinate any field verified oras-builtcondiflons that differ from what is shown on these plans with the Architect. E. Saes of mechanical equipment (if shown) are for reference only. If applicable, coordinate actual saes with the Mechanical Engineer. F. Saes and shapes of lighting and other miscellaneous electrical equipment (if shown) are for reference only. If applicable, coordinate actual saes with the Electrical Engineer. G. Install suspended ceiling grid with equal size panels at each side or end of the individual spaces unless otherwise indicated. No panel shall be less than 4" wide. H. All ceiling mounted items (Spnnlder heads, mounting mechanisms, etc.) shall be centered in the celing panels unless otherwise indicated. J. Where existing ceiling gird is remodeled to meet new construction, the conhactor shall: A. Replace all damaged or un-repairable portions of the existing grid with new grid to match the existing building standards. B. Remove portions of the existing grid or provide new grid as required by new construction. At new grid must match existing grid to remain or match the existing building standards. C. Replace all damaged ceiling tiles with new tiles to match the existing to remain or Mat match the existing building standards. K. Provide night light circuits as required by the Building Code, L. Contractor shall verify all existing ceiling heights. MECH, ELEC, & PLUMBING DESIGN REQ. I. Refer to attached M, E, 8 P drawings for more information. If drawings are not included and scope requires M, P, a E work Contractor shall provide design build - design and permitting services fa the some required for a successful project. 2. The design and installation of all MEP systems shall complywith the current Codes in force by the AHJ at the project location. Any required energy compliance or environmental reports required by the AHJ shall be prepared by the Contractor if not provided by the Owner a Architect's consultants. 3. Contractor to field verify all existing building conditions and systems affected by the project work and be famiiarwith the drawings and project requirements prior to bid or contracting with Owner. No structural cuffing, coring, or drilling shall be performed that impacts any part of the existing facility, without prior approval. Contractorshall retain the services of a structural engineer, if required by the Architect, Owner, or AHJ to obtain a required approval. 4. Architectural drawing have been provided to show the locations of all devices and systems. Contractor shall be responsible for reconfigurations, modifications, and/or new work needed to provide a complete functioningjob without permanently disrupting existing building systems. Contractor shall coordinate with Owner, Building Facilities, and cr other Tenants 48 hours minimum in advance of any interruption of any building service. 5. Architectural drawings shall fake precedence over all other trades drawings when conflicts arse. Contractorto bring conflicts or inconsistencies between the architectural drawings and the drawing of other trades to the attention of the architect prior to bid, order, or installation. 6. Fire sprinkler modifications and new work shall be designed by a licensed fire sprinkler system designer in the state the project resides in, and must be installed by a state licensed installer. Contractor shall obtain any required approvals from the AHJ prior to start of construction. 7. Zoning of MEP systems shall be exclusive to the project area without cross over to other building areas, except as is indicated on the documents oras approved in advance. B. Contractor to provide all required test and balance reports, 08M manuals, and commissioning activities required by the AHJ or project requirements in the appropriate phases of the project. 9. Existing hard duct to remain as is. No new ductwork required. Re -work flexible duct to new diffuser locations. Note: E.C. and/or design build contractor is to verify that project meets Indiana ASHRAE 90.1 energy codes. Design intent is to be within wafts per square foot. Provide energy managment controls, such as sensc rcontras (ultrasonic and motion defection) and/or relay time clocks, as required by the code. Indiana required energy compliance report (ComCheck) is the responsibility of the owner or owners representative. Drawings, specifications and energy control devices are shown with the intent of meeting current state energy codes. Submitting party is to alert designer and owner of any additional devices or load changes necessary to adhere to the code prior to submission of ComCheck.
