must be verified in field. All piping is new, UON. In general, do not abandon old piping - remove and dispose of properly,

30. All water piping inside the building thermal envelope shall be insulated with jacketed fiberglass pipe insulation with sealed
seams (Owens Corning SSL-II or equal) as follows: Cold water, 1/2" thick insulation; hot water supply and recirculation
piping 1.25" tlia and smaller, 1" thick insulation; hot water supply and recirculation piping 1.5" tlia and larger, 1.5" thick
insulation.
31. In general, no hot and cold water supply piping shall be run on cold side of insulation in outside walls, crawl space, attic, or
other unheated spaces. However, if domestic cold or hot piping is discovered to be routed through unheated areas, heat trace
and insulate this piping with 2" minimum jacketed fiberglass pipe insulation with sealed seams to prevent freezing.

32. All sanitary sewer traps that are located outside the building thermal envelope in unheated areas shall be heat traced and
insulated with 1" fiberglass minimum to prevent freezing. All heat tracing shall be controlled with a sensor on the coldest
