MEETING THE MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS O THE INDOT AND SHALL BE COMPACTED IN 6" MAXIMUM UFTS TO NOT LESS
THAN 95% STANDARD PROCTOR DENSITY FOR THE ENTIRE DEPTH O THE MATERIAL PLACED. THE SACKFUL FOR THE

MATERIAL. COMPACTED IN 12" MAXIMUM LIFTS TO NOT LESS THAN 90% STANDARD PROCTOR DENSITY FOR THE ENTIRE
DEPTH OF THE EXCAVATION. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A 3rd PARTY TESTING AGENCY TO PROVIDE COMPACTION TESTING
AS NECESSARY.
3. FOR INSTALLATION OF STORM MAINS, WATERMAINS SANITARY MAINS, WATER SERVICE LATERALS, AND SANITARY
SERVICE LATERALS UNDER CITY STREETS, REGARDLESS OF THE JURISDICTION OF THE UTILITY, THE MINIMUM
COVER FROM THE TOP OF THE INSTALLED PAVEMENT OR FINAL GROUND ELEVATOR TO THE TOP OF THE INSTALLED PPE
SHALL BE NO LESS THAN 2.5 FEET OF COVER ALONG ANY PART OF THE PIPE. IF THE STANDARD PRACTICE OF THE
UTILITY THAT HAS JURISDICTION OVER THE INSTALLATION HAS A MORE STRINGENT COVER REQUIREMENT,
THE MORE STRINGENT REQUIREMENT SHALL GOVERN.
4. IF EXISTING SUBGRADE HAS BEEN UNE STABILIZED, SACKFUL WITH B-BORROW TO BOTTOM OF EXISTING SUBGRADE
AND FILL TO THE UMIT OF EXISTING SUBGRADE WITH COMPACTED AGGREGATE NO 53.
5. THESE STANDARDS SHALL APPLY FOR STORM SEWERS INSTALLED WITHIN EXISTING AND PROPOSED CITY R/W AND FOR
STORM $EWERS THAT SHALL BE MAINTAINED BY THE CITY, REGARDLESS O STORM SEWER JURISDICTION.

ADS ADVANEDGEW PIPE SPECIFICATION
Specifications ♦ 1-23
Scope
This specification describes 12- and 18-inch (3DO and 450 mm) ADS AdvanEDGE oblong corrugated pipe for
use in subsurface drainage applications.
Product Requirements
ADS AdvanEDGE shall have annular interior and exterior corrugations.
• 12- and 18-inch (300 to 45D mm) shall meet ASTM D7001.
ADS AdvanEDGE outside dimensions shall be 1.5•thick by 12.5"wide or 1.5"thick by 18.5•wide.
Advarl shall have internal bracing adjoining each long wall to prevent crushing under typical loading
AdvanEDGE shall be made available with or without an external geotextlle wrap.
Material Properties
All pipe and fittings shall be made of polyethylene with a minimum cell classification of 424420C as defined
and described in the latest version of ASTM D3350.
