paths and connects trails to invite
pedestrians from the Monon Trail into
scaled density. North End uniquely
incorporates the existing topography of
the land, preserves as many trees as
possible, and allows native habitat to
thrive.
Likewise a one acre market
garden space cultivates both
food and relationships.
Highlighting varieties of edibles
particular to our zone. It aims to
provide local opportunity for
restaurants to experiment with
produce, as well as youth to
explore entrepreneurial
opportunities, and all ages and
abilities to interact with the land.
The Maples is a historic home,
originally built on the site in the
1840s. The Urich family purchased
the home in the 1940s, covered the
brick exterior and added columns.
Subsequently, four generations have
resided there, and now it will be
preserved and re-purposed as a
farm to table restaurant.
Supplementing with the neighboring
market garden, The Maples invites
engagement with the surrounding
land and neighboring residents.
