Linda,
There is only two outstanding comment I have for the proposed sign:
Please provide the maximum vertical and horizontal dimensions of the copy and logo. Attached is a snip of the
sign with a red box showing the dimensions I need.
Please confirm that the sign will be at least 5’ from the City right-of-way.
Last night you confirmed that brick will be used and that only the sign copy and rainbow strip will illuminate at night.
Thank you,

Linda,
Below are the final review comments I had in the Department Report.
1. On the sign design exhibit, please draw a box around the sign copy and provide the maximum vertical and
horizontal dimensions. This is will determine the sign area for the ground sign.
2. Please confirm that actual brick will be used for the base.
3. Please confirm that only the sign copy and rainbow strip will illuminate at night.
Thank you,

Linda,
Attached are the sign review comments for the Caliber Collision.
I received your voicemail this morning regarding the variance request. Can you please provide Staff with the reasoning
for requesting the variance for the Ground Sign and not the Wall Sign?
Thank you,
Nathan Chavez

Linda,
Staff received the BZA info packets this morning. There is some confusion regarding the variance request. The variance
request should be for the Wall Sign and not the Ground Sign. The Ground Sign received an Off-Premise variance in
2008 and remains in effect because a sign continued to remain at the location. Neither sign has been approved yet and I
am still in the sign permit review process with Laurie Wakerley. Can you please provide specifications for the proposed
Wall Sign? This is the sign that Staff and the BZA members will be reviewing. We will have another mailing to the BZA on
Noon, Nov. 20, for the BZA Dept. Reports, and you can include your supplemental info with that mailing.
Lastly, Staff did not see the required legal add/public notice in the Current in Carmel. Can you provide an update
regarding the three required forms of public notice: legal ad, certificate of mailing, and posting of a sign. It is possible to
ask for suspension of the rules at the BZA meeting in order to allow the petition to be heard, however, Staff needs to
know what has and hasn’t occurred.
Thank you,
Nathan Chavez
