Flag Status:Completed
Angie,
th
I spoke with Matt. He confirmed for me that on 4140 E. 96 St. only 3 wall signs will exist on the building. The existing
ground sign brings the total number to 4, which is the current maximum permitted number of signs. We can withdraw
the petition.
th
4100 E. 96 St. is still in limbo and a variance may be required down the road if they do not amend their proposal. I will
keep you updated.
Thank you,
Nathan Chavez

Subject: 4140 & 4100 E 96th St Signage
Importance: High
Mr. Hoener,
thth
After reviewing the signage proposals for both 4100 E. 96 St. (the pre-owned building) and 4140 E. 96 St. (the new car
dealership building) I believe the sites may be in compliance with signage, however I would like to confirm with you the
final proposed number of signs on each façade.
According to the BZA submitted packet for Docket #19100011 V three signs are proposed on the south elevation for
each of the two buildings.
th
Currently, a variance (V-100-01) exists for 4100 E. 96 St. permitting three signs on the property. Three wall
signs are proposed.
o An east facing wall sign existed on the site and I need to know if it has been removed.
th
V-22-00 exists permitting four signs for 4140 E. 96 St. Three wall signs are proposed and 1 ground signs exists.
o Have the west facing “Service” signs have been removed from the proposal?
Please email or call me with confirmation of the total number of signs on each of the building façades.

Thank you, Matthew -
We have received your application and will assign the Docket Number and create the project in ProjectDox. Attached is a
user guide (P&Z ePlan Handout.pdf) for uploading plans to our online plan review software, ProjectDox. I will create
your project in ProjectDox and then you will receive an email from eplan@carmel.in.gov with a temporary password to
log in and set up your account. Then you just click on the name of the project, and click on the folder you want to
upload the plans/documents to. All the instructions are in the attached user guide, but please give Joe Shestak or me a
call if you run into any issues or questions while trying to navigate the site. After you have uploaded all of your
Drawings, you must also click on “Workflow Portals” near the upper right and then click on your Task under “ProjectFlow
Task List” and complete the steps listed to move the project to the next step. Below are additional helpful tips, but
please also carefully read the user guide attached.
Helpful Tips
- When uploading documents, please note that each sheet of the drawings needs to be its own file. The
application and other text documents can be multiple pages.
- Any future version of a file must be uploaded with the same exact name and the system will version it
for us. Please see the user guide for naming preferences.
- When you are finished uploading all of your drawings in ProjectDox, click on the Workflow Portals
button near the upper right and then click on your Task and follow the instructions to complete your task
and move the project on to the next step.
Computer Requirements – ProjectDox functions best in Internet Explorer. Please use Internet Explorer when possible.
Quick Set-up Instructions
Step one is to turn off all pop-up blockers. IE users will need to make the following adjustments to their IE browser. First,
open an IE browser tab. Using the Browser “TOOLS” button (settings button near upper right), turn on the
“COMPATIBILITY VIEW” then add the webpage: https://eprcrm.aspgov.com/ProjectDox/index.aspx to the setting. Using
the “INTERNET OPTIONS” “PRIVACY” tab, check the “TURN ON POP-UP BLOCKERS” box then
https://eprcrm.aspgov.com/ProjectDox/index.aspx to the “SETTINGS”. Using the “INTERNET OPTIONS” “SECURITY” tab,
add the webpage: https://eprcrm.aspgov.com/ProjectDox/index.aspx to your “TRUSTED SITES” in Internet Options.
Last click on the Install ProjectDox Components in the rectangles below the main login page at
https://eprcrm.aspgov.com/ProjectDox/index.aspx.
