Hollibaugh, Director L E T T E R of G R A N T November 12, 2019 David & Shannon Minnaar 3 Ironwood Court Carmel, IN 46033 Re: BZA Docket No. 19090028 V: Minnaar Residence, Fence Dear Mr. & Mrs. Minnaar: At the special meeting held on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 the Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals Hearing Officer took the following action regarding the Development Standards Variance (V) request filed by you for the property located at 3 Ironwood Court: APPROVED: Docket No. 19090028 V, Development Standards Variance approval for maximum 6’ tall fence allowed when setback 6’, 8’ fence granted at the south property line. (Please note that if the fence will be located within the City ROW, then Consent to Encroach approval from the BPW (Board of Public Works & Safety) is required AND only a 6’ tall fence height would be allowed.) Please be advised that per Article 9.15 of the Unified Development Ordinance, the aforementioned Development Standards Variance approval is valid for three (3) years. By that time, either continuous construction of the improvements must be underway, or a written request for a one-time, six-month extension of the approval must have been received and approval granted by this Department. The expiration date of the approval is November 12, 2022. Please include a copy of this letter with any permit application, specifically the fence permit application.
