SITE SPECIFIC
CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE
FOR CONSTRUCTION PHASE
1. Repair or replace silt fence installed during mass earthwork phase.
2. Install a repair concrete washout basin as indicated on plans.
3. Install slam sewer system and protect all inlets as indicated on Sheet C301.
4. Complete and/or repair earthwork and sub —grade compaction for pavement sub—grodes and install pavement
sub —base material.
5. Install all remaining site features.
6. Complete earthwork and finish grading for seeded areas. Apply seed and mulch within 30 hours of seedbed
preparation.
7. Stabilization of a project site is considered achieved when all land disturbing activities have been completed and
a uniform perennial vegetative cover with a density of seventy percent (70%) has been established on all unpaved
areas and areas not covered by permanent structures, or equivalent permanent stabilization measures have been
employed.
8. The contractor shall maintain erosion control measures and devices during construction and until siltation of the
streets will not longer occur.
9. After contractor has removed temporary erosion control measures any disturbed areas shall be re —seeded as
required.
POST CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
The purpose of the post construction phase is to identify and maintain all post construction Best Management
Structures (BMP's) thus reducing
runoff and controlling pollutants. For this reason, the following sequencing should be followed as much as possible.
1. Distribute Post Construction BMP Operations and Maintenance Manual to the BMP Owner.
2. Identify and locate the following BMP structures for the owns:
Vegetated Fiber Strip
Vegetative Swale
Extended Dry Detention Basin
3. After completion of construction, BMP owners must routinely inspect BMP's to verify that all BMP
components are functioning as designed and are not in danger of falling. All BMP's need maintenance to
function as water quality and quantity enhancements. Maintenance can range from mowing grass to
removing collected sediment out of the treatment area. BMP owner is responsible fa the maintenance of
the BMP and any costs associated with maintaining the BMP.
1. BMP Owner shall keep the BMP free from litter, woody growth, and shall mow the Vegetated Filter Strip when
needed, but average grass blade height In Fller Strip shall not exceed six (6) inches. Refer to the
inspection and maintenance guidelines for further clarification.
2. Sediment that collects in the BMP shall be removed when it adversely affects the ability of the BMP to
perform as a water quality control device. This occurs when sediment causes runoff to concentrate within
the filterstrip and a nice even lawn can not be maintained.
