Hi there David.
It seems we didn't fully understand how our neighborhood works.
I am not sure how this complicates our installation process but please let us know if there is anything we need to do. I
have not had a chance to go through the neighborhood guidelines yet.
Ciara

Thank you for that Jim.
Do you foresee any issues we might have within the neighborhood?

I am President of The VOMC Inc. which is a private club responsible for the operation, maintenance, and
improvements to the Common Grounds on Oak Ridge Rd that includes the pool, tennis courts, playground,
and park. The VOMC Inc. is NOT an HOA and has NO responsibility or authority over what homeowners
do on their private property, so I cannot give you the letter you asked for.
There is no HOA for the VOMC. Property zoning requirements, restrictions, and building permits are
governed by the City of Carmel. FYI I also attached the original homeowners covenants when the VOMC
neighborhood was created in 1957 by the original builder. I don't see anything in there pertaining to solar
panels, do you? Hope this helps,
Jim

Hello there Jim.
I emailed you a couple of months ago about VOMC HOA guidelines about solar panels and we are now going
ahead with getting them installed. We do need, however, some official correspondence from our HOA for Carmel
City in order to proceed.
We need a signed letter from VOMC (you) stating that installing solar panels doesn't violate our HOA rules and
that it is ok to proceed. Are you willing to do this?
Thank you.

There are no VOMC regulations regarding solar energy, but the City of Carmel may have some.
Please check with them

Hi there Jim.
I attended an information evening about solar energy last night, and was wondering if there is any guidance
within our HOA rules for residents who want to install solar panels on the roof? We haven't seen or been
given HOA guidelines for the Village of Mount Carmel.
Thank you for your help.

Hi Ciara,
Welcome to the VOMC! We know you will love taking advantage of our ®rst class recreational
facilities. The Village of Mt. Carmel, Inc. is the organization responsible for the operation,
maintenance, and improvements to the Common Grounds on Oak Ridge Rd that includes the pool,
tennis courts, playground, and park. In late February you will get a bill in the mail for your $300
annual mandatory dues from our treasurer, Jim Reilly. It may be addressed to "Homeowner" so
don't throw it away with the junk mail because your payment will be due by March 31st. I attached
our 2018 annual newsletter and pool/tennis court info so you will know what to expect. The
lifeguards check Memberships at the gate before allowing anyone to enter the pool.
Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions. See you at the pool!

Hi there.
We moved into the area a number of months ago and I'm finally getting round to contacting you. We live
at 557E Village Dr and I'd like to know what dues we owe, how we get access to the pool and anything
else you feel may be useful.
I have already been in contact with Tammy Faulk.
Thank you.
