reverse) and any conditions noted below. All installa#ions shall be inspected by 7eiCo personnel during 'bpen trench"

responsible for t#amages io TriCo's sewer system. This includes damages to manhales, cas'#ir�gs, manhole fids and
the like; caused by construction activity on the building site which is the subject of this permi#.
Inspections by TriCa are MANDATORY and shal! be arranged by contacting �riCo's office af 844-920D 24 nours in
ad�ance. All new constrt3ction will be pfaced on billing two months after connection has been made or when water is
con�ec#ed, whichever comes #irst.

SUMMARY OF LATERAL INSTALLAT[ON R�QUIREMEI�T9
�. Only one building may connect to fhe sewer main per lateral unless otherwise approved by TriCo.
2. Foundation drains, sump drains, downspouts and other storm water drains shall never be connected to the sanitary sewer.
Site dewaterir�g systems shali never be discharged to the sanitary sewer.
3. The existing sewer iine from tf�e building to the septic tank may only 6e reused if it is locatad under a building additian, patio,
porch or pavec! driveway, and the line passes an air test that is abserved by TriCo. Contact TriCo for rr�nre informatian about
air testing requiremenis. The property owner is responsibfe for iesting costs.
4. TriCa shall inspect alE new laterals or lateral repairs in #heir eniirety. Final cannection to the sanitary sewer must �e observed
by 7rico. The praperty owner or contractor must notify TriCo prior to backfiliing. fnspections must be schedu]ed at I�ast 24
hours in advance. If an inspection fails and subsequent inspections are required, or if fhe contractor is not on site for the
scheduled inspection, a$100 fee uvill �a assessed and must be paid priar ta scheduling the reinspection.
5. S�ptic system cantents or eifluent shalf never �e discharged to the sanitary sewer. 8e advised that your county health
departme�t regulates septic systems. U�on connection to sanitary sewer, a septic tank must typically be abandoned,
pumped c]ean, end fped corr�pletely with earthen maferial. Cpntact yaur county health ciepartment far mare infnrmation on
septic system and abandonment requirements, and ta notify the department af any abandonment.

7. For gravity and low-pressure systems, the line laaving the buiiding shall not exceed 3' in fengt[� before a cleanout must t�e
added and the line is trafnsitioned ta 6" diameter 5DR 35 PVC pipe. Glued joints are not ailowed after 3'_ Nn additional glued
fittings are allowed between the building and the transitioNcieanout. For all gravify lines, cleano�ts shaA �ot be spaced more
ti�an 1Q0' apart between the huilding and the sewer main. See TriCo's standard drawings for mvre info�rnation on cieanout
insta]lation.
S. Bedding material shall be pEaced from at least 6 inches below to 12 inches abo�e the pipe surface_ The trench sf�all be a
minimum of 1 B" wide with at ]east 6" of ciearance on both sides of ti�e pipe. Material shall be placed a�er the pipe and tracer
wire after inspection. Soft, unsiable or unsuitable material found below anci near the lateral, including any fill or foundation
backfiil material, must be removed and replacet! with #8 stone. The contractar is salely responsible for establishing stable
pipe bedd�ng conditions.
9. #10-AWG solid copper tracer wire shaq be laid on top of and run the eniire length of the lateral. Ali s�liciRg of tracer wire
shall use 3M splice kit modal DBRIY-6, King Innavation Dryconn Diract Bury Lug Aq�a catalog #9�220, or TriCo approved
10. Laterals shall be installed at least 2d' from water wells unless PVC pressure grade pipe is used. Any proposed instaiEation
requiring pressure pipe s�all be reviewed by 1'riCa priar to instailation. Where s transition is made he#w�en 5�R 35 pipe and
pressure grade SDR 21 pipe, a ductile iron gaske#ed mechanicaf couplings must be used.
11. Laterals less than 5' deep shall be at least 24" from k1�e prop�rly line. Laterals more than 5' deep shail be a# least 36" from
the property line. Where the la#eral runs in cfose proximi#y #a the praperty fine fhe property comers must be accurately
staked by a professional fand surveyor prior to inspection.
12. Laterais running parallel to a bui[diRg ar structure shall be af ]east 36" from fF�e face of a crawl space or slab on grade
foundatian and 60" from #he face of a basement iouncEation walL 5pacing requirements also apply with respec# to the
ancillary structure's founda#ian depth_ Anciliary structures (e_g_ window wel[s) and other utilities shaEl no# be p[aced o�er or
near the ]at�;rai. �riCo may adjust requirements where f�ture access to the lateral may be obstructed by other utilifies. The
contractor should ca�l to discuss further if helsi�e beiisvas t�is could 6e ar� issue.
13. All infrastructure cnnnected to TriCo's sewer system mey be tested, inspected, or felevised ak TriCo's discretion, and must
retraain accessible and properly maintained_
