DEMOLITION NOTES
1. THE PREMISES SHALL BE W COMPLIANCE WITH ALL Cl1RRENTLY APPLICABLE CODES, REGl1LATIONS
AND OR�INANCES OF ALL GOVERNING BO�IES HAVING Jl1RISDICTION OVER THE PROJECT, IN OR�ER
TO PERMIT �EMOLITION IN ACCOROANCE WITH THIS PLAN.
2 COOR�INATE ALL DEMOLITION WITH THE NEW SCOPE OF WORK, AS SHOWN ON THE
ARCHITECTURAL ORAWINGS.
3. AS REQl11RED, PATCH AN� REPAIR ALL EXISTING CONSTRl1CTION TO REMAIN AS A RESl1LT OF
DEMOLITION OF ADJACENT AND ATTACHE� CONSTRl1CTION. WHERE PARTITIONS A�JACENT TO
EXTERIOR WINOOWS ARE TO BE �EMOLISHEO, PATCH AN� REPAIR CONVECTORS, MULLIONS AND
SILLS TO MATCH EXISTING LIKE ELEMENTS.
4. AS APPLICABLE, G.G TO REMOVE ALL ABANDONE� ANO NO LONGER ACTNE POWER WIRING FROM
EITHER THE CEILING PLENUM, DEMOLISHED PARTITIONS OR FROM FLOOR Ol1TLETS TO BE
ABANDONE�. INACTIVE CIRCIIITS ARE TO BE REMOVED BACK TO THE CIRCl11T PANEL.
5. AS APPLICABLE, GENERAL CONTRACTOR TO REMOVE ALL ABAN�ONED AND NO LONGER ACTIVE
VOICE/DATA CABLING FROM EITHER THE CEILING PLENUM, DEMOLISHED PARTITIONS OR FROM
FLOOR OUTLETS TO 9E A6ANOONED.INACTIVE DATA CA9LING TO BE REMOVED BACK TO THE
SOURCE, AND INACTIVE TELEPHONE CABLING TO BE REMOVED BACK TO THE PUNCHDOWN
BLOCKS.
6. ALL EXISTING FLOOR OUTLETS OR MFEEDS TO BE A9ANOONED SHALL HAVE THEIR BOXES
REMOVED, CORE DRILLS FIRE-SAFED AND BE CAPPED FWSH WITH THE FLOOR SLAB. HANDLE
ABANDONED WIRING AND CABLING PER DEMOLITION NOTES S4 AND p5. COORDINATE WITH THE
BUILDING MGML FOR ACCE55 TO FLOOR BELOW.
i. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO REMOVE UNNEEDED BACKBOXES,
RESULTING FROM THE REMOVAL OF WALL MFEE�S, VOICE/DATA CONNECTORS AN� POWER
OUTLETS RELATED TO THE PREVIOl15 LAYOUT FOft THE SUITE. PATCH WALLS SMOOTH IN
PREPARATION FOR NEW WALL FINISH(ES).
B. AS REQl11RED, ANV OISRl1PTE0 FIREPROOFING OF ALL Bl11LDING STRUCTl1RAL MEMBERS AN� WITHIN
DEMISING WALLS, FLOORS AND CEILINGS SHALL BE Sl1PPLEMENTED AFTER OEMOLITION, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH ALL Cl1RRENTLY APPLICABLE CO�ES, REGl1LATIONS AN� ORDINANCES OF ALL
GOVERNING BO�IES HAVING JURISDICTION OVER THE PROJECT.
9. DO NOT CLOSE OR OBSTRl1CT FACILITIES OR MTERRl1PT 11TILITIES WITHOUT PRIOR PERMISSION
FROM AN� COOROINATION WITH THE BUILDING MANAGEMENT.
10. THE SCHEOLILING, SEQUENCING AND EXECl1TION OF THE �EMOLITION WORK, REMOVAL OF DEBRIS
AND STORAGE OF SALVAGED ITEMS SHALL BE COORDINATED WITH THE BllIL01NG MANAGEMENT
AND PERFORMED ACCORDING THE BUILDING MANAGEMENT'S INSTRUCTIONS,
11. G.C. IS RESPON519LE TO TAKE WHATEVER STEPS ARE REQUIRED TO PROTECT THE EXISTING
WINDOW BLINDS DURING DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION. GENERAL CONTRACTOR IS AL50
RESPONSIBLE TO ENSURE THAT ALL WINDOW BLINDS DO FUNCTION PROPERLY OR HAVE NO BENT
OR MISSING VANES OR WANDS.
12 G.C. IS RESPONSIBLE TO SALVAGE THE FOLLOWING ITEMS FOR REl1SE WHERE APPLICABLE.

13. DEMOLITION MUST OCCUR AFTER NORMAL BUSWESS HOURS. PRECAUTIONS MUST BE TAKEN TO
ENSURE MINIMAL DISRUPTIONS TO ONGOING BUSWESS OPERATIONS OF THE TENANT.
14. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR WILL BE RESPON516LE TO PREVENT AIR90RNE �EBRIS FROM
ENTERING THE AIR DISTRIBUTION SVSTEM BY PROVIDING DUST PROTECTION AROUND THE WORK
SITE, AND ON ALL RETURN AIR GRILLES, DIFFUSERS AND VAV BOXES. ALSO, AS IS PRACTICABLE,
GENERAL CONTRACTOR WILL AL50 INSTALL FILTERING MEDIA OVER THE MAIN AIR HANDLERS ON
THE FLOOR TO PROTECT THE UNITS FROM EXCESS DUST ACCUMULATION OURING �EMOLITION
AND CONSTRUCTION.
15.IN AREAS OF DEMOLITION, ALL THERMOSTATS ARE TO BE CAREFULLY REMOVED FROM THE
DRYWALL PARTITIONS, AND COILED BACK TO THEIR ASSOCIATEO VAV 90XE5. THE GENERAL
CONTRACTOR IS TO ENSURE THAT ALL PNEUMATIC LMES REMAIN INTACT AND UNBROKEN,
SEVERED, ETC.
16. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR IS TO PLAN AND PROVI�E FOR TEMPORARY BARRIERS ANO ALL
OTHER REQUIRED SAFEGUARDS FOR THE PROTECTION OF BUILDING USERS FROM CONSTRUCTION
HAZARDS DURING ALL PHASES OF WORK. STAIRWAVS MUST REMAIN ACCESSIBLE AT ALL TIMES
DURING CONSTRUCTION.
17. UPON COMPLETION OF DEMOLITION WORK, THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR
LEAVING CONSTRUCTION AREAS IN BROOMED AND CLEANED CONDITION. CARPETED AREAS TO BE
LEFT IN VACUUM CLEAN CONDITION. VINYL FLOORING TO BE DAMP MOPPED AT THE END OF
EACH WORK DAY. ALL DE9RI5 AND MISCELLANWUS MATERIAL TO BE REMOVED AT THE ENO OF
EACH WORK DAY.
18. AT THIS LOCATION, EXISTING CEILING AND LIGHT FIXTURES TO BE REMOVED AS INDICATED.
EXISTING MILLWORK TO REMAIN.
19. G.Q TO PATCH AND REPAIR THE EXISTING CEILING GRID TO REMAIN AS REQUIRED FOR A
LIKE-NEW APPEARANCE.
